    Abstract: The present invention relates to an edge-bending press (10) which comprises an upper platen (12), a lower platen (14) and operating actuators (16). The operating actuators (16) are designed to cause a relative movement of the upper platen (12) and lower platen (14) towards and/or away from each other. The press (10) also comprises an upper die-holder assembly (22) which is connected to the upper platen (12) and a lower die-holder assembly (24) which is connected to the lower platen (14). Each die-holder assembly comprises a right-hand die-holder (222, 242) and a left-hand die-holder (224, 241); thus there is an upper right-hand die-holder (222), an upper left-hand die-holder (224), a lower right-hand die-holder (242) and a lower left-hand die-holder (244). More specifically, the invention relates to a special bearing (30) which allows the angular adjustment of the crossing rolls (10-13) even under load, that is to say, during rolling. The bearing (30) is interposed between the parts which in the course of the angular adjustment, move relative to one another and onto which the rolling forces are transmitted. According to a preferred embodiment, the bearing of the invention is formed by two rolling-contact thrust bearings superposed eccentrically one above the other.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a rolling stand of the type with crossed rolls, for flat products, which comprises at least two working rolls opposed to one another. These rolls are angularly adjustable and such an adjustment is effected by rotating them about a vertical axis of the stand.Advantageously, the actuators which serve to maintain the working rolls at a predetermined distance from one another following to the thickness of the material to be rolled, are solid with the rotations of the rolls themselves: in this way the stresses which the rolls transmit to the actuators during rolling are independent of their angular adjustment and are therefore always balanced.
