Abstract: Disclosed is an improved approach to implement gamification of applications and activities. The approach can be used to create gamification for any application/activity. In some approaches, gamification is provided such that an application is not modified to include the game features. Instead, an external stand-alone gamification mechanism is provided to include the game features, where the external gamification mechanism is used in conjunction with the activity/application.

Abstract: The present invention is an exhaust mode selector system which is able to control an exhaust system, as the exhaust system changes to accommodate various driving conditions. The exhaust system includes various exhaust flow paths to configure the exhaust system for operating in a highway mode, used for when the vehicle is operating on the highway, and a city mode, used for when the vehicle is operating under city driving conditions. A controller is able to position one or more valves to various configurations to transition between city driving and highway driving. Each of the valves being configurable provides for optimization of the balance between required power, fuel economy, and noise reduction.

Abstract: A user interface with multiple applications which can be operated concurrently and/or independently by using simple finger gestures allows a user to intuitively operate and control digital information, functions, applications, etc. to improve operability. The user is able to use finger gesture to navigate the user interface via a virtual spindle metaphor to select different applications. The user can also split the user interface to at least two display segments which may contain different applications. Moreover, each display segment can be moved to a desirable location on the user interface to provide a seamless operation environment.
