  • Publication number: 20240082507
Abstract: A cassette for a drug delivery device is described that includes a sleeve, a syringe having a barrel disposed in the sleeve, and a plunger-stopper slidably disposed within the barrel. The cassette further includes a spacer that is configured to be coupled to the sleeve. The cassette can form a part of an apparatus for injection of a therapeutic product along with a drug delivery device.

  • Publication number: 20220362472
Abstract: A drug delivery device and related method of operation of a drug delivery device is described that includes a housing, a reservoir removably disposed within the housing and having a sidewall defining an interior for containing a drug, a temperature sensor that is configured to measure a current temperature relating to at least one of the reservoir, the sidewall of the reservoir, the housing, or the drug, and an output device that is configured to output data relating to the current temperature.

  • Publication number: 20220257864
Abstract: An autoinjector drug delivery device configured with a stall and endpoint detection algorithm is described that allows for variations in the fill of the drug, barrel, plunger, and other components. The stall or end point detection can cause the autoinjector to stop an extrusion process.

  • Publication number: 20220262505
Abstract: Drug delivery devices are configured to inject a drug over an injection time within an acceptable range calculated based on information pertaining to the drug to be injected. In particular, drug delivery devices are described that allow identification of the drug to be injected, calculation or determination of an acceptable range of injection times for the identified drug, determination of a tailored injection time within the acceptable range of injection times, and setting of a delivery speed of a drive such that the drug is expelled over the tailored injection time.

  • Publication number: 20220184318
Abstract: A cassette for a drug delivery device is described that includes a sleeve, a syringe having a barrel disposed in the sleeve, and a plunger-stopper slidably disposed within the barrel. An end cap is adapted to couple to the sleeve to secure the syringe in the sleeve. The cassette further includes a spacer that is sized to be slidably moved within the barrel and the spacer is disposed distal to the plunger-stopper to be engaged by a plunger rod to slide within the barrel and engage the plunger-stopper. In some forms, the spacer can be coupled to the end cap.

  • Patent number: 11071826
Abstract: A drug delivery device includes a housing defining a shell and an inner volume, a cassette, a door coupled to the housing, a drive mechanism, and a latching assembly. The cassette is removably disposed within the inner volume and is adapted to contain a drug to be administered to a user. The door at least partially encloses the inner volume of the housing and includes a first end defining a latching portion. The drive mechanism is at least partially disposed within the housing and exerts a force to urge the drug out the cassette. The latching assembly is coupled to the drive mechanism and includes a first end and a second end. Upon actuating the drive mechanism, the drive mechanism causes the latching assembly to engage the latching portion of the door to secure the door to the housing.
