    Abstract: The invention relates to the use of olive leaf extracts for producing a pharmaceutical composition capable of inducing angiogenesis and vascularization. In general, the composition can be used for therapeutic applications in order to promote the differentiation of stem cells into endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) and/or mature endothelial cells, as well as to induce the vessel formation from said endothelial cells. The vascularization-inducing angiogenic composition of the invention is intended for, inter alia, cardiovascular disease, ischemic processes in general, ulcers, and wound healing in both human and veterinary medicine.
