  • Patent number: 11129561
Abstract: This invention relates to a device that is intended to synchronize electroencephalograms (EEGs), recorded by any digital equipment, to physical events (sensorial, visual or auditory stimuli) and behavioral events (motor response, vocal response), in order to allow EEG signal mediation for the purpose of visualizing Evoked Potentials or Event-Related Potentials, which are important research subjects in the neurosciences and clinical investigations into neurological and psychiatric pathologies. This invention allows any digital EEG device to be transformed into equipment that can record Evoked Potentials. This invention also provides a method for analog synchronization of EEGs with oscillating electric light-related events and motor behaviors.

  • Patent number: 8041803
Abstract: A method and system for delivering digital files in a peer-to-peer network comprising a plurality of nodes including at least one server is disclosed. The network includes a plurality of files that are available for accessibility by the nodes in which respective fingerprints are computed for each of the files based on content of the files. The method and system include partitioning each of the files into a plurality of file chunks, and assigning an error detecting code to each of the chunks. The file is then transmitted to a first node from at least one other node by transmitting the chunks of the file to the first node. The method and system further include computing a new error detecting code upon receipt of each chunk by the first node, and comparing the new error detecting code to the assigned error detecting code to verify that each chunk has been transmitted correctly, whereby the entire contents of the file does not have to be received before the first node discovers that the file is corrupt.

  • Patent number: 5827963
Abstract: A system and method for obtaining a fluid density of a fluid in a tank includes at least two sensor/transmitter assemblies to obtain fluid pressure measurements at different fluid levels in the tank. After the respective fluid pressures are obtained, the fluid density is calculated as a function of the respective fluid pressure measurements. The sensor/transmitter assemblies have substantially similar variation characteristics so that possible measurement variations are eliminated during fluid density calculations.
