Abstract: The component (5) has a substrate (6), which comprises a number of contact bridges (7) corresponding to the number of contact elements (2) of the meter (1) which are to be electrically bonded, the contact bridges (7) having soldering tags (8, 9) bent at right angles to one another. The soldering tags (8) can be inserted through the printed-circuit board (3) and be soldered to the contact surfaces (4) of the latter. In this case, the substrate (6) is located on that side of the printed-circuit board (3) which is free of contact surfaces. The other soldering tags (9), which likewise project from the electrically insulating substrate (6) made of plastic, are provided with openings (11), through which the contact elements (2) pass when the meter (1) is being mounted on the printed-circuit board (3) and may be soldered mechanically in the same way as the soldering tags (8).

Abstract: A coverplate storage device includes a threaded first portion and a second portion. The threaded first portion is screwed into the standard screw receptacle of a coverplate (either a switchplate cover or plug receptacle plate cover) and the second portion receives small items, such as key chains. The invention also includes a wall guard to protect the wall under the hanging items from damage. Other variations of coverplate storage devices are provided which are secured to the coverplate by the screw receptacle or held in place using the light switch or plug receptacle.

Abstract: The invention concerns 6-methoxy-2-acetylnaphthalene oxime derivatives of the general formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represent a lower alkyl radical, or form, in association with the nitrogen atom to which they are linked, a saturated heterocyclic group, and the acid addition salts thereof with physiologically acceptable acids. These derivatives have analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory activity and can be made up into pharmaceutical compositions in tablet, capsule, suppository and the like forms. The derivatives of the invention may be prepared by reacting the corresponding 2-acetyl-6-methoxynaphthalene oximes with an appropriate substituted halogeno-ethylamine.

Abstract: Novel derivatives of formula (I) and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and each is a lower alkyl group, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, form a saturated heterocyclic group optionally containing, in addition to the said nitrogen atom, a second hetero atom, a process for the preparation thereof, and their use as anti-histamine anti "H.sub.2 " agents.

Abstract: Mono- and diesters of 2,5-dihydroxy benzene sulfonic acid are represented by one of the following formulae: ##STR1## wherein R and R' can be identical or different and represent an alkanyl, arylalkanoyl, aryloxyalkanoyl, aryl, alkanesulfonyl, arenesulfonyl, alkylarenesulfonyl or arylalkanesulfonyl radical, B represents the cation of an alkali metal, alkaline-earth metal of ammonia or an unsubstituted or substituted, open chain or cyclic amine, and are remarkable for their hypocholesterolemic, hypotriglycidemic and hypolipidemic activity.

Abstract: Salts of p-dihydroxy benzene disulfonic acids having the general formula: ##STR1## wherein B is an alkali metal or an equivalent of an alkaline-earth metal, or BH is the cation of ammonia or a nitrogen containing basic organic compound, are useful for reducing the average bleeding time and for combating capillary fragility.

Abstract: Mono- and diesters of 2,5-dihydroxy benzene sulfonic acid are represented by the following formula: ##STR1## wherein each R residue is hydrogen or the residue of p-chlorophenoxy isobutyric acid having the formula: ##STR2## with the proviso that both Rs are not hydrogen simultaneously, and B is hydrogen or the equivalent of an inorganic or organic cation, these compounds are remarkable for their hypocholesterolemic, hypotriglycidemic and hypolipidemic activity.

Abstract: Novel salts of substituted hydroquinone sulfonic acid having the general formula: ##STR1## in which R denotes ammonium or a cation of an organic base such as alkylamines, alkanolamines, arylamines, alkylarylamines, aralkylamines and cyclamines, or a cation of an alkali or alkaline earth metal such as lithium, sodium, potassium, magnesium or calcium. The structure of course depends on the valency of R. In every case, R' denotes a linear or branched alkyl group with 1 to 6 carbon atoms. These salts are used as haemostatic agents and protective agents against capillary fragility.
