Abstract: A ski shoe sole of a type provided with a rear recess and a peg in the sole bottom toe portion for removable engagement with ski bindings has on its inside a reinforcing element extending longitudinally and centrally over approximately the full length of the sole. The reinforcing element is enlarged and flattened at the front, and has progressively increasing thickness and width dimensions toward the rear. The reinforcing element is formed from a plastic material and the sole remainder is cured, heat formed, or injected all around it. The recess is formed rearwards of the reinforcing element, and the front peg is secured to a metal plate accommodated in the reinforcing element parallel to the sole main plane. The sole is substantially rigid as far as ski binding-induced stresses are concerned, but is adequately flexible at the toe region to facilitate normal walking.

Abstract: There is described a ski binding structure of the type having a substantially rigid rod-like element pivotally connectable to the ski about an axis substantially parallel to the plane of the ski and substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the ski. The rod-like element is urged against the skier's leg and has a free end bent substantially in form of a U to define lateral engagement with the skier's leg. There is further provided a front latching body fixable on the ski and capable of removably engaging with a peg provided in the sole of the skier's footwear, and a rear latching body fixable on the ski and having a pressure element resiliently urged in a shaped seat of the rear portion of the skier's footwear.

Abstract: A ski fastener structure has a rigid bar element removably fixable to a ski and engaging the lower end of a rod element pivotable about a horizontal axis substantially perpendicular to the ski longitudinal axis. The rod element is effective to resiliently encircle a rear region of the skier's leg at the middle area of the tibia and the skier's footwear is removably connected to the bar element.

Abstract: A ski binding comprising a plate-like elongate member removably attachable to a ski and detachably engageable with the sole of the skier's shoe, a lug projecting laterally from the plate-like member and a substantially rigid rod pivoted to the lug about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the elongate plate-like member and parallel to the surface of the plate-like member. The rod has an "U"-like portion associable with a skier's leg at the tibia region.

Abstract: A ski binding that comprises an element for gripping the skier's leg, a base rigidly connected to the ski and a rigid elongated element for mechanically connecting the gripping element and the base, this element being pivotally connected to the base for rotation about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the ski and parallel to the surface of the ski.
