  • Publication number: 20150283034
Abstract: A pill crushing and mixing device crushes a pill, and then mixes the resultant fine particles with a fluid to form a palatable mixture. The subsequent mixture can pour from an open end of the device, and be ingested without bad taste or large indigestible composition of a whole pill. The device is generally lightweight, portable, and separates into two separate housings for cleaning and maintenance. An upper housing includes an upper blade and a lower blade that simultaneously rotate to create a synergy that optimizes crushing the pill, and mixing of the resultant fine particles and fluid. Blade beveled edges grind the pill and guide the mixture towards a base end and a sidewall for further mixing capacity. An upper gear and a lower gear transmit torque to the blades. A lower housing includes a safety switch motor, and circuitry. A handle enhances manipulation of the device.

  • Publication number: 20140042850
Abstract: The invention “compass-effect magnetic rotor” refers to an iron bar winding to which a DC current is applied to convert it into an electromagnet, this iron bar being centrally mounted on a shaft in such a way that when the whole assembly is oriented North-South the bar will point North-South because it acts as a simple compass, however; when the iron bar is aligned with the Earth's magnetic north, the polarity of the bar is changed, changing the direction of electricity supply and hence the iron bar will rotate permanently and successively thereby attaining continuous rotation of the iron bar on the shaft perpendicular to the center thereof. The energy generated by the Earth's magnetic field is thus utilized and converted into mechanical energy through the permanent rotation of the “compass-effect magnetic rotor,” which in turn converts said energy into electricity by means of a generator connected to the shaft.

  • Patent number: 8554894
Abstract: A network comprising a plurality of network devices is configured to implement scheduling for energy efficiency. In one aspect, a set of network devices interconnected in a line within a network is identified, and a common frame size is established. For each of the network devices of the line, active and inactive periods for that network device are scheduled in a corresponding frame having the common frame size, with the frames in the respective network devices of the line being time shifted relative to one another by designated offsets. For each of one or more of the active periods of each of the network devices of the line, received packets are scheduled for processing in that network device.

  • Patent number: 8364401
Abstract: The navigation system described here utilizes GPS and Galileo satellite signals combined with Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), where a Coupled Antenna (CAN) provides both GNSS and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) data to a Highly Integrated GNSS-Inertial (Hi-Gi) receiver. Such receiver makes use of a high fidelity relation between GNSS unprocessed Correlator Output (COUT) I and Q data and the user trajectory, and inertial sensor data, which in turn are combined within a Kalman Filter (KF). The KF determines the navigation solution that is also used to provide feedback to the receiver demodulation signal processing stage, thus eliminating the need of dedicated structures such as Delayed Locked Loops (DLL) and Phase Locked Loops (PLL), allowing a significant improvement in navigation performance.
