Abstract: Switched power supply converter for broad range of input voltages that comprises a first stage (11) connected in cascade with a second stage (21), such that a first voltage supplied from a voltage source is converted into a second voltage by means of a first switching element (11-3). The second voltage is transformed into a third DC voltage by the operation of the second stage (21). A control circuit (11-9) controls the duty cycle of the first switching element (11-3) so that the duty cycle varies between a first limit and a second limit of the duty cycle when the first voltage lies within a predetermined voltage range. The control circuit (11-9) sets the duty cycle to the first limit of the duty cycle or to the second limit of the duty cycle in the event of the first voltage being outside the predetermined range of voltage values.

Abstract: Switched power converter with hold-up time and harmonics reduction connected to an AC power mains through a first rectifier means (13) and connected to conversion means (19) supplying a regulated voltage. An energy storage means (16) connected in parallel with the rectifier means (13), absorbs or supplies current to the conversion means (19), by adapting the conducting periods of two switching devices in such a way that determines the voltage level on the storage means (16) and assures a sinusoidal current at input terminals (11, 12). The two switching devices are switched in a complementary manner by means of a first control means included in the energy storage means (16).

Abstract: Uninterrupted power supply system being connected to a power source through input terminals (11-1 and 11-2) and transforming the electric power received into a level of voltage and current appropriate for feeding a telecommunications equipment through output terminals (12-1 and 12-2). A recognising means (14) examines the electrical characteristics of the received power and, as a function of the results of the analysis, configures a determined conversion path between the input terminals (11-1 and 11-2) and the output terminals (12-1 and 12-2); to which purpose it generates a set of control signals (S1, S2, S3 and S4) which, respectively, activate a set of switching means (15-1, 15-2, 15-3 and 15-4).

Abstract: Universal switched power converter connected to a voltage source and, based on the level of the voltage received, this is applied to a first primary circuit comprising a first switching device (14-1) or to a second primary circuit comprising a second switching device (15-1). Control means (PWM) adapt the conducting period of the switching device connected to input terminals for regulating an output voltage and adapt the conducting period of the switching device not connected to the input terminals for demagnetising the core of a transformer (T) during the non-conducting period of the switching device connected to the input terminals.

Abstract: A power distribution system that provides electric power to an electrical device and to an energy storage device. The system includes a rectifier connected to an alternating current mains network to provide a rectified sinusoidal voltage via power leads connected to a charging device that provides DC voltage to the energy storage device. In addition, the electrical device(s) are connected to the power leads and include a plurality of converters, each one being connected to at least one load. Each converter is connected to the power leads in order to supply a DC voltage to its respective load.
