  • Publication number: 20210001769
Abstract: Engine order cancellation (EOC) systems generate feed forward noise signals based on the engine or other rotating shaft RPM and use those signals and adaptively configured W-filters to reduce the in-cabin SPL by radiating anti-noise through speakers. An EOC system may include a drive mode detector for detecting different vehicle drive modes based on an analysis of signals indicative of current vehicle operating conditions. Upon detection, the EOC system may adaptively adjust various tuning parameters for the EOC algorithm based on the current vehicle drive mode. The EOC system may also selectively target different sets of engine orders for noise cancellation according to the current vehicle drive mode based on which engine orders are dominant during that drive mode.

  • Publication number: 20200378957
Abstract: A multiplexed lateral flow assay device includes an impermeable internal reservoir having an opening to receive a sample deposition. A fluid distributor pad is arranged in fluid communication with a lower surface of the internal reservoir and divides a portion of the sample deposition substantially equally among a plurality of flow paths. Lateral flow assays having a plurality of flow lines are aligned with flow paths of the distributor pad. An impermeable paper top cover has a first window arranged over the opening of the internal reservoir, and at least a second window arranged over the test results of the lateral flow assays. A housing element houses the reservoir, the distributor pad and lateral flow assays. The housing element includes an impermeable bottom cover and a spacer element arranged between the top and bottom covers and, provides a gap between the lateral flow assays and the impermeable paper top cover.

  • Patent number: 10453367
Abstract: Methods are provided for detecting correct or incorrect operation of a display panel (e.g. LED or OLED) during display of a video signal, the display panel being associable with a controller system. The method comprises: adding, by the controller system, a dynamic pattern into the video signal for inducing the display panel to display the video signal with the added dynamic pattern substantially imperceptible to human vision, and to provoke an expected power consumption evolution during the display of the video signal with the added dynamic pattern; measuring, by the controller system, power consumed by the display panel during the display of the video signal with the added dynamic pattern to determine an actual power consumption evolution; and determining, by the controller system, whether the actual power consumption evolution corresponds to the expected power consumption evolution. Controller systems and computer programs suitable for performing such detection methods are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10065561
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for generating masking sounds in a vehicle, such as an at least partially electric vehicle. An example sound generation system in a vehicle includes a speaker, a processor, and a storage device holding instructions executable by the processor to modulate a sound characteristic of a first frequency range of a synthetic sound to generate a modulated synthetic sound portion while maintaining the sound characteristic of a second frequency range of the synthetic sound that is lower than the first frequency range to generate an unmodulated synthetic sound portion. The instructions are further executable to output a combined synthetic sound including both the modulated synthetic sound portion and the unmodulated synthetic sound portion. The sound characteristic of the first frequency range may be modulated as a function of a vehicle operating parameter.

  • Publication number: 20150342102
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar Citrus limon (L.) Brum.f. is provided which displays a substantially different time for initial fruit harvest than the standard ‘Primofiori’ cultivar (non-patented in the United States). The attractive juicy fruit of the new cultivar commonly is initially ready for harvest in about the middle of May. This follows greatly the typical November initial harvest time for the ‘Primofiori’ cultivar. The new cultivar is a diploid, and displays a relatively dense spreading growth habit. The supply of the fresh fruit market for consumption, use in beverages, and in cooking is facilitated at an atypical season of the year by the new cultivar.

  • Patent number: 9146328
Abstract: An apparatus for generating seismic waves includes a housing, a strike surface within the housing, and a hammer movably disposed within the housing. An actuator induces a striking motion in the hammer such that the hammer impacts the strike surface as part of the striking motion. The actuator is selectively adjustable to change characteristics of the striking motion and characteristics of seismic waves generated by the impact. The hammer may be modified to change the physical characteristics of the hammer, thereby changing characteristics of seismic waves generated by the hammer. The hammer may be disposed within a removable shock cavity, and the apparatus may include two hammers and two shock cavities positioned symmetrically about a center of the apparatus.
