  • Patent number: 9988246
Abstract: The flippers consist of a new type of flippers which operate as a rigid assembly in the usual operation thereof, but which elastically yield against impacts and overloads, recovering the usual operation afterwards. This flexibility is achieved two ways, which exclusively affect the flipper itself, not the connection thereof with the spreader or the possible driving system thereof. Mainly: use of elastic materials and use of geometries which are stable against service loads but are readily deformed against impacts.

  • Publication number: 20090301984
Abstract: Movable pulley head assembly for a lateral spreader movement, where the lateral movement of the spreader is carried out directly on hoist pulley assemblies, the assembly including structurally rigid bridges where a beam of the bridge is long enough for the travel of the mechanism, cross members attached to pulley heads, where each cross member supports a bridge at each end by means of elements allowing relative movement between bridge and cross member, where the cross members can be extended outside the bridges to serve as support for other elements or mechanisms, the assembly further including worm screws for the lateral movement of the spreader.

  • Publication number: 20090134646
Abstract: The fastenings of the wire ropes for loading containers are subjected to huge stresses, making it necessary to use screwed-in robust grips. The systems currently installed in these cranes for fixing ropes are fixed, screwed-in grips. A much more versatile and flexible system is presented that is based on a wedge mechanism which allows automatic and instant actuation (remotely controlled). The assembly includes the sliding clamps, the actuation of these clamps, necessary additional guides and tightening device for tightening the ropes. This solution allows: Performing the rope changing operation with the jib hoisted, thus allowing the maneuvers of vessels and the operation of contiguous cranes. Reducing the rope replacement times. Using the anchoring element (clamps)+tightening device as a mechanism for tightening the length of the ends. Possible misalignments of the spreader can be corrected instantly.
