  • Patent number: 11522783
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to capturing the routing topology of a network (e.g., the Internet covering the entire IPv4 address space). An exemplary method comprises: obtaining a first bit array indicative of a plurality of target IP addresses; assigning a first subset of the plurality of target IP addresses to a first source device; assigning a second subset of the plurality of target IP addresses to a second source device; causing the first source device to transmit a first plurality of probing packets to the first subset of the plurality of target IP addresses and receive a first plurality of returned packets, causing the second source device to transmit a second plurality of probing packets to the second subset of the plurality of target IP addresses and receive a second plurality of returned packets, and generating a data structure representing a routing topology of the network.

  • Patent number: 8770913
Abstract: An apparatus and a process for measuring rotor creep values for a monolithic rotor of an industrial gas turbine engine in order to determine when creep growth of the rotor has exceeded an allowable limit. One or more critical locations of the rotor are measured for real-time radius, and a CPU having rotor creep deflection model is used to compare the real-time data and determine if the rotor creep is within safe and allowable limits. If the creep is determined to exceed allowable values, then an alarm in initiated or engine shutdown occurs.

  • Patent number: 7445424
Abstract: In a gas turbine engine having a rim cavity formed between a rotor disk and a stator, and a brush seal or other seal member providing an airflow seal between the stator and a side plate of the rotor disk, a thermally responsive valve device is located in the bypass passage of the stator to form a parallel air flow path with the brush seal. As the brush seal wears and the leakage airflow around the worn brush seal increases, the air flow temperature in the rim cavity would decrease. The thermally responsive valve device would detect the decreasing airflow temperature, and reduce the airflow passing through the bypass passage in order to prevent the temperature of the rim cavity from decreasing. The temperature responsive valve device makes use of a bimetallic valve member that regulates airflow based upon temperature.
