Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamic user profile projection are provided. One or more aspects of the systems and methods includes computing, by a prediction component, a predicted number of lookups for a future time period based on a lookup history of a user profile using a lookup prediction model; comparing, by the prediction component, the predicted number of lookups to a lookup threshold; and transmitting, by a projection component, the user profile to an edge server based on the comparison.

Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamic user profile management are provided. One aspect of the systems and methods includes receiving, by a lookup component, a request for a user profile; computing, by a profile component, a time-to-live (TTL) refresh value for the user profile based on a lookup history of the user profile; updating, by the profile component, a TTL value of the user profile based on the request and the TTL refresh value; storing, by the profile component, the user profile and the updated TTL value in the edge database; and removing, by the edge database, the user profile from the edge database based on the updated TTL value.

Abstract: A system and method for enrollment and matching of a positive biometric identification belonging to an individual that has a biometric template of the individual cryptographically encrypted and masked to others. Data relating to the individual can be connected to the biometric identification in a way that others may access the data without being able to identify the individual or access the biometric template; hence privacy is preserved. The biometric template is completely controlled by the individual in the sense that the data is available and anonymized, but can only be de-anonymized by the individual.

The different camera angle is intuitively obvious based on a spatial relationship between two or more thumbnail display windows displayed in the virtual joystick. The moviola system allows rapid backwards navigation of a video stream that has already been received in a video receiver, and also allows slow motion backwards/forwards viewing starting from a paused image.

Abstract: A thermostat is provided that includes a housing, a temperature sensor assembly, a switching arrangement and an adjustment shaft is provided. The housing includes a generally L-shaped main body attached to a generally U-shaped cover. The temperature sensor assembly includes a bellows operably fluidly attached to a capillary tube. The bellows and capillary tube define a sealed cavity storing a working fluid. The switching arrangement is operably actuated by the temperature sensor assembly to open and close a circuit as a result of changes in temperature of the working fluid. The adjustment shaft is configured to adjust a temperature set point at which the temperature sensor assembly actuates the switching arrangement. The adjustment shaft extends through the housing. Methods of assembly of the thermostat are also provided.

Abstract: An external-cavity tuneable laser includes a gain medium and a tuneable mirror wherein at least the tuneable mirror is in thermal contact with a thermally conductive platform. The tuneable mirror lays substantially horizontally on the thermally conductive platform significantly improving the thermal contact of the tuneable mirror with the platform. A laser beam from the gain medium is directed onto the tuneable mirror, which is mounted substantially horizontally with respect to the thermally conductive platform, by means of a deflector that deflects the beam or a large part of it toward one of the principal surfaces of the tuneable mirror. The resulting laser cavity is a folded cavity. The thermally conductive platform is preferably thermally coupled to a TEC that provides thermal control for the platform. The deflector may be a beam splitter that deflects part of the incoming light and transmits the remaining part.

Abstract: An external-cavity laser module includes a package defining an enclosure, the package including a base having a surface internal to the enclosure, a thermoelectric cooler within the enclosure, the thermoelectric cooler including an upper carrier plate and a lower carrier plate, the lower carrier plate being placed on the internal surface of the base and the thermoelectric cooler (TEC) being configured to stabilize the temperature of the upper carrier plate at a substantially constant temperature. The laser module further includes a laser assembly housed within the enclosure, including a gain medium for emitting an optical beam into the external cavity and an end mirror. Variations of the environmental temperature with respect to the thermally stabilized temperature cause mechanical deformations of the TEC upper carrier plate that is in thermal coupling with the laser assembly. The mechanical deformations in turn induce variations in the optical path length of the laser cavity.

By thermally controlling an intra-cavity phase element it is possible to vary continuously the output power as a function of the injection current.
