  • Patent number: 12035186
Abstract: A optical wireless communication system, method and apparatus for use in the optical wireless communication system, that enable communication of data, e.g. LiFi, and wherein fast handover can be achieved by having neighboring access points (AP1, AP2) announce themselves using very short frames, that get picked up by user devices (EP1) that detect the identity of a neighbor access point (AP2) and then communicate this to the current access point (AP1) to share information on the user device (EP1) with its neighbor access point (AP2), so that the neighbor access point (AP2) can be pre-configured to allocate resources and/or synchronize.

  • Patent number: 10601463
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for telephone line access with crosstalk stability. A transceiver device coupled to a telephone line, bundled with other telephone lines in a telephone cable, may determine when another transceiver device connected to the telephone cable is estimating signal to noise ratio on another telephone line in the telephone cable, and may control communications over on the telephone line, the controlling including forcing a transmission on the telephone line based on the estimation of signal to noise ratio by the other transceiver device. The transmission may be forced on the telephone line when there is no data to send on the telephone line at a time when the other transceiver device estimates the signal to noise ratio. The forced transmission may be generated by modulating sub-carriers using a pseudo-random sequence generated with an initial seed different from initial seeds used by other transceiver devices.

  • Patent number: 9838225
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a receiver. The receiver includes a receiving (Rx) estimation controller configured to set a bit load of a subcarrier in a bit allocation table (BAT) at a transmitter, a receiving unit configured to receive, from the transmitter, a bit sequence that is loaded to the subcarrier based on the bit load of the subcarrier in the BAT wherein the bit sequence is transmitted through a channel from the transmitter to the receiving unit, and a channel estimator configured to estimate a condition of the channel based on the bit sequence that is loaded to the subcarrier.

  • Patent number: 9825666
Abstract: The present disclosure includes systems and techniques relating to wired communication channels, such as telephone lines in a bundled telephone cable. In some implementations, a system includes telephone lines bundled together, electronic equipment at a first location includes a first transceiver device for each of the telephone lines, where each first transceiver device at the first location is configured to coordinate transmissions over a respective telephone line coupled with the first transceiver device; and second transceiver devices coupled respectively with the telephone lines at second locations, such that each second transceiver device is respectively paired with a first transceiver device at the first location; each pair of the first and second transceiver devices is configured to force transmission on a telephone line connecting the pair when another pair of the first and second transceiver devices estimates a signal to noise ratio on the telephone line connecting the other pair.
