  • Publication number: 20140198174
Abstract: Systems and methods for augmenting web conference sessions with multimedia content based on text extracted from audio content transmitted during the web conference. In one embodiment, a conference application or other application can receive audio content from at least one client participating in a web conference. The web conference can connect multiple clients for live sharing of audio and video. The conference application can also extract at least one text item from the audio content. The conference application can also generate augmented electronic content by combining electronic content received via the web conference with additional electronic content based on the at least one text item. The conference application can also provide the augmented electronic content via the web conference.

  • Publication number: 20130231930
Abstract: A computer implemented method and apparatus for automatically filtering an audio input to make a filtered recording comprising: identifying words used in an audio input, determining whether each identified word is contained in a dictionary of banned words, and creating a filtered recording as an audio output, wherein each word identified in the audio input that is found in the dictionary of banned words, is automatically deleted or replaced in the audio output used to make the filtered recording.

  • Patent number: 7839799
Abstract: A machine readable medium having instructions stored thereon to cause the machine to execute a method is provided. The method includes analyzing a received client request and available statistics to determine whether the request is likely to succeed and whether the request should be bundled with other requests. If the request is determined to not be likely to succeed, an error message is outputted to the client. If the request is determined to be likely to succeed but should not be bundled with other requests, a first service provider relevant to the request is invoked. If the request is determined to be likely to succeed and should be bundled with other requests, the request is bundled with the other requests and, subsequently, the first and/or a second service provider relevant to the bundled requests is invoked. The available statistics are then updated.

  • Patent number: 7579945
Abstract: An emergency response system capable of directing building occupants to a safe location in real-time is disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of sensors which detect and monitor an emergency condition, a central processing unit which evaluates the data, calculates accessible evacuation routes, and sends the result to output devices which provide directional information to occupants. By combining an analysis of the flow of evacuees with changes in building structural information and the evolution of an emergency condition the system combines situation-aware data with contextual information to thereby provide the best available evacuation route to evacuees. In this manner, some evacuees may be redirected to alternate evacuation routes during the evacuation process itself, thereby minimizing problems due to congestion, potential panic of the evacuees, and changes in the emergency condition while increasing the probability that evacuees will reach a safe location.
