  • Publication number: 20080006646
Abstract: A container lid comprising an end closing portion (31) having a peripheral region (31a) that incorporates a sealing portion (32) to be fitted and retained in a seat (S) provided in a container (10); a handle (33) having a marginal edge portion (33a) incorporated to the peripheral region (31a) and a higher median portion (33b), the marginal edge portion (33a) and an adjacent part of the median portion (33b) of the handle (33) being cut to define a radial opening (35) to allow inserting at least one finger of the user, as well as resting his/her palm and/or wrist on a region of the sealing portion (32), so that the user's hand forms a lever to help him/her to gradually open the lid (30) from the peripheral region (31a) adjacent to the radial opening (35).

  • Publication number: 20070108210
Abstract: An improvement in a plastic lid for a can of the type which comprises a tubular body (10) having an upper end (13) carrying a seat (16) for the lid (20) which comprises a sealing portion (21) provided with an external edge (21b) and a tamper evident portion (25) comprising a lower skirt (25a), to be seated around part of the upper end (13) of the tubular body (10) and which is incorporated, to the external edge (21b) of the sealing portion (21b), through bridges (26) which are broken upon the first opening of the lid (20). The bridges (26) are axially disposed around a circumferential extension of the upper end (13) of the tubular body (10), in order to connect an upper edge (25b) of the lower skirt (25a) with the external edge (21b) of the sealing portion (21) in points which are angularly spaced apart.

  • Publication number: 20070090111
Abstract: Disclosed is a closure arrangement for a can of the type which comprises a tubular body (10) having an open upper end (13) provided with a seat (16); and a plastic lid (20) comprising a sealing portion (21) and an axially breakable seal (25) formed by a lower skirt (25a) to be seated around the upper end (13) of the tubular body (10), and an upper edge (25b) internally incorporated to the sealing portion (21) by means of breakable radial bridges (26). The upper end (13) of the tubular body (10) presents a cross section contour that is substantially smaller than the largest cross section contour of the remainder of the tubular body (10), so that the contour of the lid (20) is maintained internal to said largest cross section contour of the tubular body (10), avoiding the mutual contact of the lids (20) of two adjacent cans disposed side by side.
