Abstract: This invention describes ways of obtaining nano-particulated adjuvants formed by different synthetic variants of GM3 ganglioside. Depending on the fine structure of the fatty acid in the ceramide of the synthetic GM3, said adjuvants are able to stimulate specifically and in a specialized way the humoral or cellular immune response against accompanying antigens. Particularly, this invention provides immunogenic vaccine compositions that comprise peptides, polypeptides or proteins and the aforementioned nanoparticles, which are formed through the dispersion of hydrophobic proteins of the outer membrane complex (OMC) of Neisseria meningitidis in solutions containing fully synthetic variants of the GM3 ganglioside.

Abstract: Method for producing a culinary condiment with Dunaliella salina and sea salt is provided by: incorporating Dunaliella salina in live state in the evaporation of sea salt, and carrying out joint crystallization of both components by a continuous dripping system which allows this microalgae to be encapsulated in the salt, a condiment being obtained with a high content of ?-carotene, a culinary condiment based on Dunaliella salina and sea salt, and use of the present condiment in the food and restaurant industry.

Abstract: First order predicate logics are provided, extended with a bilattice based uncertainty handling formalism, as a means of formally encoding pattern grammars, to parse a set of image features, and detect the presence of different patterns of interest implemented on a processor. Information from different sources and uncertainties from detections, are integrated within the bilattice framework. Automated logical rule weight learning in the computer vision domain applies a rule weight optimization method which casts the instantiated inference tree as a knowledge-based neural network, to converge upon a set of rule weights that give optimal performance within the bilattice framework. Applications are in (a) detecting the presence of humans under partial occlusions and (b) detecting large complex man made structures in satellite imagery (c) detection of spatio-temporal human and vehicular activities in video and (c) parsing of Graphical User Interfaces.

The individual private key uniquely identifies each group member. The group leader distributes the individual private keys to each of the group members. Each group member receives from a user a message encrypted using the group public key. Each of the group members uses its individual private key to decrypt the encrypted message sent by the user to the group.

Abstract: A method of securing a digital signature in a networked computer system. A user having a user private key and a user public key obtains a digital certificate from a certificate authority. The user takes an overt action showing the intent to sign an artifact initiating a signing ceremony. The user signs the artifact using the user private key. The digital certificate is attached to the artifact after signing by the user. The user private key is programmatically destroyed upon completion of the signing ceremony.
