  • Patent number: 11566148
Abstract: The invention relates to a film comprising an interpenetrating network, its uses and processes for making the same. The film produced displays good durability, chemical resistance and transparency. The film is produced from an interpenetrating network formed as a colloidal suspension in an organic solvent and a particulate solid.

  • Patent number: 10500812
Abstract: The present invention provides a film for attaching a nanostructured material to a surface of a substrate, comprising: (a) a removable support; (b) an attaching layer for attaching the film to the surface of a substrate; and (c) the material directly coupled to the support and the attaching layer. Methods for making the film, methods for attaching the material to the surface of a substrate are also provided. The present invention further provides a surface having a material attached thereto by means of the attaching layer. Using the methods disclosed herein, a material having a high specific surface area (SSA) and having particular proper ties (e.g. super-hydrophobicity) can be applied to a substrate including a fuel cell, a conductive electrode, a dye sensitized solar cell, a diffuse reflective mirror, eyewear, a window and a vehicle (e.g. car) windscreen, for example to provide a self-cleaning surface.

  • Publication number: 20120043124
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrical device comprising a substrate, a pair of electrodes arranged on the substrate and a functional layer arranged between the pair of electrodes, said functional layer comprising a functional domain being capable of transforming an external stimulus into an electrical signal or vice versa. The electrical device is characterized in that at least two conductive domains are dispersed in the functional layer. Said at least two conductive domains are separated from each other and are formed in each case by a particle or an agglomerate of particles of a conducting or semiconducting material having a higher electrical conductivity than the material of the functional domain. Each of the conductive domains form an electrically conductive path on the functional domain.
