  • Patent number: 9332009
Abstract: An office electronic apparatus is associated to an apparatus card and is able to use or provide a service by means of identification information; the identification information allows billing of the use or provision of the service. A mobile telephone terminal is associated to a subscriber card storing subscriber identification information. According to the method of the present invention, at least the subscriber identification information and preferably also subscriber authentication information are transferred from the mobile telephone terminal to an office electronic apparatus when the said mobile telephone terminal is in proximity of the office electronic apparatus, the transferred information is stored into the apparatus card of the office electronic apparatus, and the service is autonomously used or provided by the office electronic apparatus by means of the transferred information.

  • Patent number: 8955083
Abstract: An arrangement for secure user authentication includes a computer or telecommunication terminal with a smartcard and a device. The smartcard is adapted to securely store biometric information relating to at least one user and the device is adapted to detect biometric data of users. The smartcard and the device include a radio interface for communicating together and a module for exchanging biometric information between each other. In this way, tampering of the transferred biometric information is difficult. In order to increase the security, one or more of the following measures may be used: a secure communication channel between the device and the smartcard, a direct (preferably short range) communication channel between the device and the smartcard and encryption and decryption of biometric information transferred between the device and the smartcard.

  • Patent number: 8789195
Abstract: A digital memory such as a memory card for mobile communication equipment, is adapted to be accessed by a plurality of users and have protected data stored therein. The memory is dynamically partitionable in private memory areas for storing data therein and has associated therewith a secrecy tool for securely allocating to the users respective private areas and permitting the users to access the respective private areas via a secure session channel to perform read/write commands in the respective private areas. Typically, the memory/card includes: a card interface controller for managing a physical communication layer between the digital memory and external host equipment, an internal memory having associated therewith a hardware lock to control access to the internal memory, a set of cryptographic modules to manage the secure session channel between the users and the digital memory, and a memory certificate for certifying a public key associated with the digital memory.

  • Publication number: 20100037047
Abstract: Users of mobile terminals in a communication network are provided controlled access to files in a file system through the steps of configuring the files as a file body containing a file content and a file header containing content profile information; providing a security identity module and a secure agent; storing in the security identity module user profile information identifying a set of content profiles allowed for access to the file system; extracting, via the secure agent, the content profile information from the headers of the files; retrieving, via the secure agent, the user profile information stored in the security identity module; checking the user profile information and the content profile information; and providing the user with access to those files in the file system for which the user profile information and the content profile information are found to match.

  • Publication number: 20060026307
Abstract: A method of exchanging data within a direct memory access (DMA) arrangement including a plurality of IP blocks (A, B, C) includes the step of associating with the IP blocks (A, B, C) respective DMA modules (IDMA A. IDMA B, IDMA C) each DMA module including an input buffer (11A, 11B, 11C) and an output buffer modules (IDMA A, IDMA B, IDMA C) are coupled over a data transfer facility (BUS) in a chain arrangement wherein each DMA module has at least one of its output buffer (12A, 12B) coupled to the input buffer (11B, 11C) of another DMA module downstream in the chain and its input buffer (11B, 11C) coupled to the output buffer (12A, 12B) of another DMA module upstream in the chain. The DMA modules interact with the respective IP blocks (A, B, C) by writing data from the input buffer (11A, 11B, 11C) of the IDMA module into the respective IP block (A, B, C) and raiding data from the respective IP block (A, B, C) into the output buffer (12A, 12B, 12C) of the DMA module.

  • Publication number: 20040243742
Abstract: The present invention is related to a method of transferring data in an electronic circuit (10) incorporating a control unit or CPU (21), first circuit blocks (41) and second circuit blocks (61) interconnected by means of a BUS (24). The method and the relating circuit envisage the use of interface devices (45a) and/or (45b), associated to respective circuit blocks, and capable of managing the direct transfer of data from the first block (41) to the second block (61), or vice-versa, without the control by the CPU (21) during such a transfer. For the purpose of this method, and relating circuit (101), interface device (45a) must be, able to intercept control commands issued by CPU (21) and to directly manage the data transfer from the first block (41) to the second block (61) .Thus, the method and the circuit (101), and the interface device (45a) make it possible to considerably reduce the load of CPU 21, BUS 24 and electronic circuit (101) as well.

  • Publication number: 20040243383
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (10) and method for making electronic circuits comprising elements or elementary circuit blocks which can be implemented either in the form of physical circuits, for instance FPGA, or in the form of firmware, for instance memorised on microprocessor. Thanks to the methodology used to describe the circuit blocks (26a, 26b) and their functional models (21), the system (10) and method allow to execute with a WS (11) and an emulator subsystem (30), in a single integrated environment, both the functional simulation of the model of complex electronic circuit and the emulation of the electronic circuit itself. Moreover, thanks to the characteristics of intrinsic congruence between the circuit blocks (26a, 26b) and their models (21), the emulation of the complex electronic circuit can be effected using alternatively circuit blocks implemented on the emulator subsystem either in the form of hardware (26a) or in the form of firmware (26b).
