    Abstract: Metallizable, thermoweldable polyolefin films, endowed with good gas-barrier properties, are obtained by means of a process which comprises the following steps, carried out in sequence:(a) treatment of the surface of the film with an argon plasma;(b) deposition of a thin layer of liquid alkoxy-silanes on the surface of the so-treated film;(c) treatment of the alkoxy-silane coated film with an argon-oxygen plasma.
