  • Publication number: 20080245122
Abstract: Method of production of springs made of wire of circular or other type crossectional area, that are produced after having formed first springs (6) of constant diameter smaller or equal to that of the final spring (7) and of constant pitch smaller or equal to the smallest pitch of the final spring (7), where by compressing in a controlled fashion the spring turn of the initial spring (6) from the interior direction towards the outer one and from the lower sides towards the spiral direction the selected pitch and the diameter of the final spring (7) are formed. The invention also relates to a system that is comprised of a main roller (1) with motion rollers (2), (3), (4) that are contacting it peripherally and a pin (5) in an elbow (12) that is connected to an axle (10) situated upon a base (11) that is capable of moving along its longitudinal axis and to revolve around it, transmitting through the elbow (12) the motion to the pin (5) so as to form the diameter and the pitch of the final spring (7).

  • Publication number: 20080078226
Abstract: A process of production of three-dimensional products from wire (1) or other suitable material, which process may be implemented in a system (8) that may include an advancement mechanism (9), a straightening mechanism (11), a length measuring arrangement (18) towards which advances the material (1), a gripper arrangement (14) suitable to hold the material with fixed grippers (15) and simultaneously with other grippers (16) to twist it to a desired angle around its longitudinal axis (X), and a rotatable bending mechanism (12) that can bend the material plastically in one plane and simultaneously can rotate at a desired angle around the longitudinal axis (X) of the wire (1) so that it may generate bends in different planes. The system (8) implementing the process may also carry a cutting arrangement (13).

  • Publication number: 20080041485
Abstract: The present invention refers to a method and a mechanism for convergence of a multitude of wires (1-4) wire rods, tubes, or other material of prismatic cross section to one particular line (OO?), where the material may be cut and stored or may be cut and bent or may be cut and welded or may be cut and processed in another way. The method depends on the elastic properties of metals, which can be temporarily deformed when under stress, and are restored to their original shape when the stress load is removed, as long as the stressing of the metal remains in the elastic region. Hence, during the convergence of wires, there is a minimum distance between the feeding-straightening (6-9) units and the point of convergence to a common line, which is defined by the material with the weakest elastic properties and by the locations of the feeding lines. The method can be applied to feeding lines, which are parallel with each other or not, and for feeding lines, which lie or not on the same plane.

  • Publication number: 20070256466
Abstract: Machines and processes for production of three-dimensional stirrups (1a) with two converging legs (4,5), from rods, wire or other material of any cross-section. A planar stirrup (9) with parallel legs is either produced with the aid of a bending head (19) by making two bending operations, or is furnished in prepared, precut form and is restrained, for example by a grip or jaw (26). Afterwards, utilizing a stirrup-leg adjustment mechanism (25) located immediately following this bending head (19), which mechanism (25) includes an arm (16) that may move in reciprocation with the aid of a suitable mechanism (18) and has a hook (17) at its end, the free leg (5) of the planar stirrup (9) is trapped by the hook (17). This trapped free leg (5) is moved towards the opposite leg (4) as arm (16) reciprocates, covering an appropriate distance.

  • Publication number: 20070107483
Abstract: A machine and method according to which advancing material (1) such as wire, prismatic material, or rod is gripped during the duration of its advancement from an advancement unit (2) towards a bending unit (3). The gripping is effected by a jaw (4) that grips material (1) with sufficient force so that the material (1) cannot twist. By gripping the advancing material (1), the under-production part (16) is simultaneously gripped and prevented from rotating, so that bends are made in the correct plane and the bent product is produced with great accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20070017271
Abstract: A machine and method for parallel production of similar products by wires, wire rods, tubes, or other material of prismatic cross section, which is characterized by existence of more than one production lines, which operate in parallel and which may comprise similar mechanisms for straightening and bending of the material, similar mechanisms for changing of the bending plane, and for cutting of the final parts. All the straightening mechanisms may be driven by a common motor, through a common driving mechanism; all the bending mechanisms may be driven by a common motor, through a common driving mechanism; all the mechanisms for the changing of the bending plane may also be driven by a common motor, through a common driving mechanism; and all the cutters may be driven by a common power source. All the operation of the motors and of the driving mechanisms may be controlled and programmed by one common controlling unit.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a method and a mechanism for convergence of a multitude of wires (1-4) wire rods, tubes, or other material of prismatic cross section to one particular line (00), where the material may be cut and stored or may be cut and bent or may be cut and welded or may be cut and processed in another way. • Publication number: 20040177489
Abstract: According to the method, the transversal wire or rebar to be formed (1) and the longitudinal wires or rebars or other material of prismatic cross section (2), (3) are fed to the main forming and welding machine subsystem, in a stepwise manner, at the appropriate distance each time, through a driving mechanism (22-30). At this location, the transversal wire (1) is cut and then formed upon the action of a press (36). Welding of the formed transversal frame with one of the two longitudinal wires is performed while the formed transversal wire is still restrained by the action of the press (38) at the formation location. Welding with the second longitudinal wire is performed at the next production step, simultaneously with the welding of the next transversal frame with the first longitudinal wire, at the formation location. After the welding action, the transversal frame is released by the press and the forming tools (37-39), and the next production step is initiated.
