  • Publication number: 20140104823
Abstract: An elongated reflector for increasing the lumen output of an installed, elongated luminaire and for mounting onto the luminaire without requiring use of a tool is disclosed. The installed luminaire includes a shell with a pair of elongated lateral sides having outwardly facing portions with outwardly facing protrusions. The elongated reflector comprises first and second longitudinal ends. Each end has a respective mounting component with a pair of cooperating shafts resiliently biased towards the pair of elongated lateral sides when the reflector is mounted onto the luminaire. Each shaft has a respective nib at an end of the shaft. Each nib reaches round and gripping an upper side of one of the protrusions when the reflector is mounted to the luminaire.

  • Patent number: 7344278
Abstract: Luminaire with reflector of adjustable rotation comprises a luminaire housing, a reflector received in the housing and an assembled component at ends of reflector. Each longitudinal end of the luminaire has a recess and a projection on internal surface, the recess defining a circular arc, with center as longitudinal axis of a fluorescent lamp. Each assembled component has first and second axially outwardly protruding parts, cooperating with an associated recess and projection, respectively. The first part is received in the recess for guiding rotation of the reflector. The second part has a circular arced, toothed surface concentric with its associated recess, and cooperating with an associated projection that engages a respective one of a plurality of cavities of the toothed surface, to secure the reflector in a respective one of a plurality of rotational positions. Locations of recess and projection can be interchanged with locations of first and second parts.

  • Patent number: 7036957
Abstract: System of reflectors and base of parabolic fluorescent luminary for concentrating and guiding light, with improved light output and reduction in construction cost. On the support base of the electrical components of the luminary, two of the four side walls are made of plastic, which are assembled by easy and quick snapping to the main body of iron sheet. These plastic side walls have specific cavities and projections for mounting a grid of parabolic reflectors, which consists of the following, two separate parts made of thin plastic film of at least one reflecting surface: (i) the main parabolic components for directing the light, which are placed under fluorescent lamps, and (ii) the upper cross-made grid, which can be removed from the luminary independently of the main parabolic components. Thus, the main parabolic components do not need to have openings along the lamps. As a result, their continuous parabolic shape improves significantly the light output of the parabolic luminary.

  • Publication number: 20030002280
Abstract: Watertight luminary for fluorescent lamps (1) with incorporated catoptrical, or diffusive reflector (2) for light direction for the increase of its luminary efficiency. The metallic base (3) of the electrical components of the watertight luminary (1) is fixed at the bottom of the plastic base (4) so that it has smaller dimensions and, consequently, less material and lower assembling time comparing to the metallic base which would be fixed as a cover (8) in the open upper side of the plastic base. With the support of the metallic base (3) at the bottom of the plastic base (4) of the luminary, there is ample space in the upper open side of the plastic base (4) that allows the placement of the reflector (2) at the optimal distance from the fluorescent lamps (5) so that the desirable concentration and direction of light can be achieved. The reflector (2) for the light direction is shaped from plastic film of at least one reflective surface in an integrate form.

  • Publication number: 20030002285
Abstract: System of reflectors and base of parabolic fluorescent luminary for concentrating and guiding the light, aimed to the improving of its light output and parallel reduction of the construction cost. On the support base (1) of the electrical components of the luminary, the two of the four side walls are made of separate plastic accessories (6), which are assembled by easy and quick snapping on the main body (5) of iron sheet base (1). The plastic side walls (6) of the base (1) have specific cavities and projections (11, 12) in order to maintain a grid of parabolic reflectors (2, 3) which is separable and consists of two separate parts. The one part is the main parabolic components (2) of directing the light, which are placed under the fluorescent lamps (4), while the other is the upper cross-made the luminary independently of the main parabolic components (2). Thus, the main parabolic components (2) do not need to have openings along the lamps (4).
