    Abstract: Holding devices in the nature of display cradles are used extensively, particularly in the retail trade to display goods such as mobile devices in a manner which allows the consumer to easily and readily view and hold the device but at the same time provide a high degree of both mechanical grip to prevent the device from wobbling or becoming detached and security to prevent theft. One aspect of the disclosure provides a holding device for the display of an article. The holding device includes a central core and a plurality of brackets connectable to the central core. Each of the brackets has a respective outer end and comprising respective gripping means at the outer end for engaging and holding the article. The plurality of brackets are adjustable for lateral movement of the gripping means towards and away from said central core.
