Abstract: A radio frequency identification, RHD, device (116) for use at an article (114) is described that communicates information with a washing machine (100). The RFID device (116) comprises RFID circuitry (118), an antenna (120) connected to the RFID circuitry (118), as well as switching means (122) connected to any of the RFID circuitry (118) and the antenna (120) and configured to react to contact with a fluid (108) in the washing machine (100) by switching the RFID circuitry (118) from a first mode of operation to a second mode of operation. The two modes of operation comprise at least a respective first and second ability to communicate with the washing machine (100).

Abstract: The semiconductor device (100) comprises an integrated circuit (20) and a first and a second contact face (31,33). These are connected with vertical interconnects (32,34) to the integrated circuit (20). This integrated circuit (20) is present in a semiconductor layer of a substrate. This substrate is absent in a non-active area (B). This leads to the fact that on the side faces (101) of the device (100) neither conductive material nor parts of the semiconductor substrate are exposed. On lamination of the device between two metallized foils into an identification label, the risk of short-circuitry due to undesired contact at the side face (101) of the device (100), is prevented thereby.

Abstract: A tuning arrangement with a polyphase low IF mixer, a polyphase low IF filter and a polyphase group delay equalizer. The polyphase group delay equalizer has only one or more pole-zero pairs in the upper half of the complex frequency plane representing the transfer function of the equalizer.
