Abstract: In an embodiment, an apparatus comprises a primary user interface, a housing of non-translucent material, a slot of translucent material arranged in the housing, the slot having a primary function not related to user interaction, and a light source arranged inside the housing in proximity of the slot; wherein the apparatus has a primary mode in which the primary user interface is on and a secondary mode in which the primary user interface is off, and wherein the apparatus further comprises a controller configured to provide visual notifications to a user with the light source in response to predetermined events when the apparatus is in the secondary mode.
