  • Patent number: 8326955
Abstract: A method for configuring SIP settings to a user terminal, for instance when a specific SIP service is used in the user terminal for the first time, includes transmitting a request message from the user terminal to a gateway node. As the request message is received in the gateway node, the gateway node retrieves identification information on the user terminal. After that the request message and the retrieved identification information are forwarded from the gateway node to a settings server. In response to receiving the request message and the identification information, the settings server defines service-specific SIP settings for the user terminal, and the defined SIP settings are provided to the user terminal.

  • Publication number: 20110055848
Abstract: A method for launching a target application from a launcher application, said target application being an MIDP-based application, and both the target application and the launcher application being installed within a device having a Symbian operating system. The method comprises: the target application registering the launcher application in a Push Registry of the MIDP as an application allowed to have incoming connection, said registration including at least a port number for the incoming connection; the launcher application sending a request to the target application to open a TCP connection via the port defined in said registration; checking from the Push Registry that the launcher application is allowed to open the TCP connection to the target application; and if allowed by the Push Registry, opening a TCP connection between the target application and the launcher application.

  • Publication number: 20110047254
Abstract: The present solution describes a method for configuring SIP settings to a user terminal (UE). In the present solution, for instance when a specific SIP service is used in the user terminal (UE) for the first time, a request message (2-2) is transmitted from the user terminal (UE) to a gateway node (GW). As the request quest message is received in the gateway node (GW), the gateway node (GW) retrieves (2-3) identification information on the user terminal (UE). After that the request message and the retrieved identification information are forwarded (2-4) from the gateway node (GW) to a settings server (WS). In response to receiving the request message and the identification information, the settings server (WS) defines (2-5) service-specific SIP settings for the user terminal (UE), and the defined SIP settings are provided (2-6, 2-8) to the user terminal (UE).
