Abstract: A lopping machine comprising a ring-shaped holder forming a central opening and a number of lopping rods slidably supported by said holder and circumferentially spaced around said opening. The lopping rods are positioned in axial planes of said holder opening and are inclined with respect to the axis of said opening, so that the inner ends of the rods contact the surface of a tree stem passing longitudinally through said opening. Each rod is provided with displacing means for retracting said inner ends of the rods beyond a wiping surface formed in said holder for removing branches sticking to said rods.

Abstract: A device for moving logs from a first longitudinal conveyor onto a crossing second conveyor and for turning the logs the desired end first on said second conveyor. The device comprises two side walls positioned at each side of said second conveyor, said side walls forming each two oppositely facing sliding surfaces inclined in the longitudinal direction of said second conveyor. Each side wall is provided with a guiding means, said guiding means being pivotable in opposite directions for guiding each log selectively upon two oppositely facing sliding surfaces of said side walls to cause the log to turn in the desired direction while sliding along said sliding surfaces onto said second conveyor.

Abstract: Equipment for transferring tree trunks one-by-one from a heap onto a longitudinal transporter comprises a reception table positioned between the heap and said transporter and provided with a feeding device movable back and forth over the table in a direction transversal to the longitudinal direction of the tree trunks in the heap. The feeding device is provided with a gripper for drawing each tree trunk in its longitudinal direction from the heap onto conveyors which are arranged on the table for transporting of the tree trunk in a direction perpendicular to its longitudinal direction onto the longitudinal transporter.
