Patent number: 11496938Abstract: A wireless communication network comprises a wireless UE, a source access node, a target access node, and a network controller. The UE identifies an active media session, a UE fallback capability, and a network fallback availability. The UE measures a signal metric for the target access node and indicates the signal metric and UE fallback capability to the source access node. The source access node receives the indication the signal metric and the UE fallback capability. The source access node receives an access modification message for the UE from the wireless network controller. In response, the source access node initiates the hand over and transfers a handover message to the network controller. The network controller receives the handover message, transfers a handover request to the target access node, receives an acceptance from the target access node, and transfers a handover command for the wireless UE to the source access node.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2021Date of Patent: November 8, 2022Assignee: Sprint Communications Company L.P.Inventors: Rajil Malhotra, Ramesh Kumar Golla, Anuj Sharma, Anil Kumar Mariyani

Publication number: 20220353773Abstract: A wireless communication network handsover a wireless User Equipment (UE) to a target communication network. A wireless access node wirelessly exchanges user data with the wireless UE and exchanges the user data with a User Plane Function (UPF). The UPF exchanges the user data with the wireless access node. An Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) identifies a handover of the wireless UE from the wireless access node to the target communication network, and in response, identifies a Gateway Identifier (GW ID) for a data GW that is physically co-located with the UPF and transfers handover signaling indicating the GW ID to the target communication network. The target communication network exchanges additional user data with the wireless UE over the data GW in response to the GW ID in the handover signaling—possibly without using a Domain Name System (DNS) to determine the GW ID.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 18, 2022Publication date: November 3, 2022Inventors: Rajil Malhotra, Anuj Sharma

Patent number: 11125845Abstract: A deep learning (DL) network is proposed to mitigate artifacts in simultaneous multi-slice (SMS) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data. For example, unaliased images generated from SMS aliased images can exhibit leakage artifacts due to inaccuracies in the receive-coil sensitives used during sensitivity encoding (SENSE) processing. To mitigate leakage artifacts, the DL network learns to correct the receive-coil sensitives before SENSE processing, and/or learns to detect and subtract the artifacts from the unaliased images after SENSE processing. The DL network can also be trained to denoise the unaliased images.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2019Date of Patent: September 21, 2021Assignee: CANON MEDICAL SYSTEMS CORPORATIONInventor: Anuj Sharma
