Publication number: 20210236361Abstract: Multi-layer cushion supports are described which may generally comprise a first support having a first contact surface for contacting a portion of a body and a second surface opposite to the first surface, the first support defining a central chamber and a peripheral chamber surrounding the central chamber, wherein the first support is filled with a first gas or liquid and a second support attached to the first support along the first contact surface. The second support may be filled with a second gas or liquid which is relatively more viscous than the first gas or liquid. In particular, the first support may be filled with a volume of air and the second support may be filled with oil which is less than the volume of air.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 13, 2021Publication date: August 5, 2021Applicant: PRS Medical Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Nikhil BHAT, George Y. Patent number: 10834837Abstract: An attachment system for use in mounting a monitor to a fixture. The system includes a monitor housing that houses a monitor and a fixture housing that attaches to a fixture, where the monitor housing mounts to a recess within the fixture housing. The fixture housing has a hinged tongue-groove joint that allows the monitor housing to engage and disengage with the hinged joint at an installation angle, but does not allow the monitor housing to disengage from the fixture housing at an installed angle. In the engaged position, the monitor housing can rotate relative to the fixture housing via the hinged tongue-groove joint, and can be locked in position to prevent rotation using a locking mechanism. The hinged tongue-groove joint can be tapered to improve self-alignment during installation, and can be configured to elastically compress in the installed angle to minimize movement when installed.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2019Date of Patent: November 10, 2020Assignee: Panasonic Avionics CorporationInventors: Dominic Giammaria, Anuj Bhat

Patent number: 9750655Abstract: A conforming support comprising a central portion, a first side portion attached to the central portion, and a second side portion attached to the central portion opposite to the first side portion each having chambers in fluid communication with one another such that a pressure applied upon the central chamber reconfigures the support assembly from a flattened configuration to an angled configuration in which fluid or gas within the central portion is urged into the first and/or second portions such that the side portions pivot to a predetermined height and angle relative to the central portion and form a conforming channel sized to support a region of a patient body.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2016Date of Patent: September 5, 2017Assignee: PRS Medical Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Nikhil Bhat, George Y.
