Abstract: The disclosed embodiments illustrate methods and systems of cost sharing in a pooled vehicle. The method includes receiving, by one or more transceivers of a computing device, a detour distance to be traversed by the pooled vehicle to process a travel request, wherein the detour distance is determined by one or more sensors in the pooled vehicle. Further, the method includes determining, by one or more processors of the computing device, a first cost to be compensated to at least one first commuter in the pooled vehicle based on the received detour distance, wherein the first cost is incurred by a second commuter associated with the travel request.
