    Abstract: A temperature sensing circuit of a data storage system includes a temperature sensor, a digital-to-analog circuit, and a reference generation and trimming circuit configured to generate a common mode voltage (VCM), a positive reference voltage (VREFP), and a negative reference voltage (VREFN) using a single band gap reference signal. The trimming circuit is configured to trim the VCM, VREFP, and VREFN by adjusting a VC trim signal to increase the VCM until a VCM error is below a threshold; adjusting a high temperature trim signal to increase the VREFP and decrease the VREFN until a digital temperature signal associated with the digital-to-analog circuit attains a predetermined accuracy level for a first temperature; and adjusting a low temperature trim signal to increase the VREFP, VCM, and VREFN until the digital temperature signal attains a predetermined accuracy level for a second temperature.

In one embodiment the method comprises retaining in a microreactor a cell population comprising one or more effector cells, wherein the contents of the microreactor further comprise a readout particle population comprising one or more readout particles, incubating the cell population and the readout particle population within the microreactor, assaying the cell population for the presence of the extracellular effect, wherein the readout particle population or subpopulation thereof provides a direct or indirect readout of the extracellular effect, and determining, based on the results of the assaying step, whether one or more effector cells within the cell population exerts the extracellular effect on the readout particle. If an extracellular effect is measured, the cell population is recovered for further analysis to determine the cell or cells responsible for the effect.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring rotational frequency in rotating machines use variable sliding windows of measurement. The systems and methods count and store the number of internal clock cycles between the start of a measurement interval and each pulse signal from a pulse generator. Rotational frequency is determined by taking a difference between the count for a most recent pulse signal and the count for some previous pulse signal within the measurement interval. The number of pulse signals that have occurred between the most-recent pulse signal and the previous pulse signal represents a window of measurement. This window of measurement, or the size thereof, may then be used along with the count difference to determine the rotational frequency. The window of measurement may then be slid to the counts for next most recent pulse signal and the next previous pulse signal to obtain a new count difference, and so on.

The method of some embodiments receives data that defines a logical router that logically connects several different end machines operating on several different host machines to different physical machines that are connected to the hardware switch. The method, based on the received data, defines a number of routing components for the logical router. In some embodiments, the method then configures the MFE to implement the routing components in order to enable the MFE to perform logical routing operations on behalf of the hardware switch.
