Patent number: 10687373Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are disclosed which provide improved performance for packet switched (PS)-to-PS handovers. Embodiments provide for improved handover operations by utilizing registration refreshing techniques to reduce the time required to complete signaling and registration of a UE over a target access in connection with a handover of a communication session from a serving access to the target access. Embodiments further provide improved handover operations that eliminate the exchange of signaling information with a remote UE in connection with a handover of a communication session from a serving access to the target access. Further, handover operations are processed by a network node that is closer to the UE requesting the handover (e.g., the network node may be an Access-SBC/P-CSCF that operates between a core network and the UE).Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2018Date of Patent: June 16, 2020Assignee: Ribbon Communications Operating Company, Inc.Inventors: Nagesh Kumar Bollapalli, Anuradha Sridhar, Rajiv Harish Patel, Pradeep Bala

Publication number: 20200153935Abstract: A system is disclosed for sharing of encrypted personal identification information in such a way so as to maintain user privacy. In examples, the present system includes an onsite wireless device, an onsite wireless sensor, a remote event detection server, and a remote content database. The remote event detection server has an event detection engine based on certain signaling (or triggering) events within the wireless data network. The remote event detection server is connected to the remote content database that contains other ephemeral information related to a customer or subscriber (characteristics of browsers used, browsing history, login IDs, etc.). When a customer bearing a wireless device nears the wireless sensor, their presence triggers an event that is registered by the mobile network and detected by the event detection server. The event detection server registers this event and customer information in the remote content database using methods disclosed herein to maintain anonymity and privacy.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2019Publication date: May 14, 2020Applicant: GOLDENSPEAR LLCInventors: Santos Moises Soto, Anuradha Sridhar, Mike Logan, Chris Yenney, Javier Castan

Patent number: 10206146Abstract: A method includes establishing a first session (e.g., a Wi-Fi call) via a first connection to a first network, where the connection to the first network is provided by a first receiver of the mobile device, and monitoring a characteristic of the first connection to the first network. The method includes determining whether the characteristic satisfies a threshold. When the characteristic does not satisfy the threshold, the method includes activating a second receiver of the mobile device, establishing a second connection to a second network, and initiating a handover procedure to transfer the first session from the first network to the second network. The second connection to the second network is provided by the second receiver of the mobile device. As a result of the handover procedure, the first session may be merged with or transferred to a second session (e.g., a cellular call) provided via the second network.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2017Date of Patent: February 12, 2019Assignee: Sonus Networks, Inc.Inventors: Anuradha Sridhar, Matthew Christopher Perry, Rajiv Harish Patel, Satish Agarwal, Shan Jen Chiou

Publication number: 20160262005Abstract: A mobile device may establish and register a connection to a first network at a registration server, and may subsequently establish and register a connection to a second network at the registration server. Registration of the connection to the second network may designate the second network as a primary network for providing services to the mobile device. In response to the registration of the connection to the second network, the mobile device may receive a notification indicating the connection to the second network is designated as a primary connection for providing at least one service to the mobile device. In response to receiving the notification, the mobile device may transmit, to a network entity, a pullback message including a request to refresh the registration of the first network at the registration server, thereby designating the first network as the primary network for providing the services to the mobile device.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2015Publication date: September 8, 2016Inventors: Anuradha Sridhar, Keith Mumford, Matthew Perry, Satish Agarwal, Shan Jen Chiou

Patent number: 9294967Abstract: Systems and methods herein utilize interworking protocols with centralized functionality to perform CSFB with minimal latency for an inbound and/or outbound communication with a mobile device that is attached to a communication network not operable to service the communication. Embodiments utilize a centralized gateway that communicates in both an LTE network and CS network. In embodiments, the mobile device may be concurrently attached to the LTE network, registered with the centralized gateway, and registered with an MSC of the CS network. Upon the CS network receiving an inbound call for the mobile device or upon the mobile device originating a call, the MSC may set up the call with the mobile device with minimal latency because the mobile device is pre-registered with the MSC.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2013Date of Patent: March 22, 2016Assignee: Taqua WBH, LLCInventors: Anuradha Sridhar, Shan Jen Chiou
