  • Publication number: 20240037189
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable media are configured to perform operations comprising determining at least one criterion for generation of augmented data to be included in a set of training data for training a machine learning model. At least one base template and at least one component are selected based on the at least one criterion. The augmented data is generated based on the at least one base template and the at least one component.

  • Publication number: 20240005642
Abstract: This application is directed to augmenting training data used for vehicle driving modelling. A computer system obtains a first image of a road and identifies a drivable area of the road within the first image. The computer system obtains an image of an object and generates a second image from the first image by overlaying the image of the object over the drivable area. The second image is added to a corpus of training images to be used by a machine learning system to generate a model for facilitating driving of a vehicle (e.g., at least partial autonomously). In some embodiments, the computer system applies machine learning to train a model using the corpus of training images and distributes the model to one or more vehicles. In use, the model processes road images captured by the one or more vehicles to facilitate vehicle driving.

  • Publication number: 20230391357
Abstract: A method for classifying environmental image frames for vehicles, using a universal iterative classification model, is presented. The method combines text-based querying, active machine-learning models, and user input to form an end-to-end automatic flow for sourcing video frames captured by sensors on a vehicle. An index of frames is used and continuously populated with data for new frames, with each frame scored on its likelihood of containing a representation of a driving scenario of interest. Each iteration of the classification model produces a classification result that is predicted to belong to the scenario of interest. Binary labels can be applied to the results. Subsequent iterative training of classification models can be performed using updated training sets containing previously labeled classification results, to improve precision and accuracy in classifying image data to a driving scenario.

  • Patent number: 11623664
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle can obtain sensor data. Upon determining that the autonomous vehicle is in a lane adjacent a shoulder, and there is an object in the shoulder, the autonomous vehicle can determine if performing a lane change maneuver out of the lane prior to the autonomous vehicle being positioned adjacent to the object is feasible. If it is, the lane change maneuver can be performed. If it is not, a nudge maneuver and/or a deceleration can be performed.

  • Publication number: 20220360847
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for characterizing joint attention. A method includes dynamically obtaining video streams of participants; dynamically obtaining gaze streams; dynamically providing a cue to the participants to view the object; dynamically detecting a joint gaze based on the gaze streams focusing on the object over a time interval; and dynamically providing feedback based on detecting the joint gaze.
