  • Publication number: 20240032952
Abstract: A mechanical thrombectomy device including a self-expanding cage structure transitionable from a radially expanded state to a radially partially collapsed state of reduced outer diameter relative to that while in the radially expanded state. The mechanical thrombectomy device also including an internal actuatable collapsing mechanism fixedly attached internally to the self-expanding cage structure; wherein the internal actuatable collapsing mechanism when actuated or deployed imposes a radially inward tension on the self-expanding cage structure transitioning to the radially partially collapsed state compressing the occlusion captured therein.

  • Publication number: 20240032953
Abstract: A nested mechanical thrombectomy assembly deliverable as a single assembled unit that includes an outermost mechanical thrombectomy device and at least one inner mechanical thrombectomy device, each mechanical thrombectomy device being actuatable from a radially compressed state to a radially expanded state. While in the radially compressed state, the at least one inner mechanical thrombectomy device is disposed in the inner channel of the outermost mechanical thrombectomy device. Each of the outermost mechanical thrombectomy device and the at least one inner mechanical thrombectomy device is actuatable/deployable independently of one another.

  • Publication number: 20240016958
Abstract: A method and system for detecting and treating a clot are disclosed. The method of detecting composition of a clot in a vessel of a patient may include introducing a solution containing tagged tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) into a circulatory system of the patient, waiting a predetermined time for the tagged tPA to interact with the clot, scanning an area of the patient corresponding to the clot, and outputting a composition of the clot based on an intensity of a signal at the clot in the scan corresponding to the tagged tPA.

  • Patent number: 11871946
Abstract: A clot removal device including a first scaffolding section, a second scaffolding section distal of the first scaffolding section by a first hinged element including a pinching cell. The pinching cell has a collapsed state and an expanded state configured to pinch at least a portion of a clot. A third scaffolding section is distal of the second scaffolding section by a second hinged strut element including a pinching cell that has a collapsed state and an expanded state configured to pinch at least a portion of the clot. An outer diameter of the third scaffolding section is greater than an outer diameter of the second scaffolding section, which is greater than an outer diameter of the first scaffolding section.

  • Publication number: 20230012025
Abstract: Example systems and methods of treatment are presented herein which generally involve expanding a bracing frame within a blood vessel between a clot and an aspiration catheter, aspirating the clot through a passageway of the bracing frame, and supporting the blood vessel by the bracing frame as negative pressure is created by the aspiration. The bracing frame can thereby reduce likelihood of blood vessel collapse compared to a similar procedure which does not include the bracing frame. The bracing frame can be removed from the blood vessel during treatment. In some examples, the bracing frame can further function to expand a mouth of the catheter. In some examples, the system can include a stentriever.
