  • Patent number: 10558746
Abstract: With the scale of information available today along with the existing diverse channels of communication, manual processing of information is becoming a challenge and companies across industries are under tremendous pressure to lower transactional costs. Artificial Intelligence based automation of business transactions has seen regulatory hurdles due to probabilistic nature of the outcome. The main challenge lies in processing of transactions with unstructured information. Systems and methods of the present disclosure uses deterministic as well as probabilistic approaches to maximize accuracy. The larger use of deterministic approach with configurable components and ontologies helps to improvise accuracy, precision and reduce recall. The probabilistic approach is used when there is absence of quality information or less information for learning. Also, confidence indicators are provided at attribute level of data being processed and at each decision level.

  • Publication number: 20110119262
Abstract: A system and method for grouping chunks, highlighting a chunk location within a document, and ranking hyperlinks of a document. A portion of a document including one or more hyperlinks to linked documents at respective data sources is displayed in a first window. In response to a search request including one or more search terms, one or more of the linked documents are requested from the respective data sources. When a respective linked document is received from a respective data source, it is determined whether the respective linked document includes chunks that match at least one of the search terms. If true, at least a subset of the chunks are displayed as a respective group in a second window only if a number of groups displayed in the second window is less than a predefined number of groups.

  • Patent number: 7760927
Abstract: A method and system for automatic digital image based tissue independent simultaneous nucleus, cytoplasm and membrane quantitation. Plural types of pixels comprising cell components including at least cell cytoplasm and cell membranes from a biological tissue sample to which a chemical compound has been applied and has been processed to remove background pixels and pixels including counterstained components are simultaneously identified. The identified cell components pixels are automatically classified to determine a medical conclusion such as a human breast cancer, a human prostrate cancer or an animal cancer.

  • Patent number: 7353176
Abstract: Roughly described, the invention addresses the above problems by separating an actuation subsystem from the natural language interpretation system. The NLI develops “interpretation result commands” in response to user input, and transmits them to the actuation subsystem using a predefined interpretation result command format that is independent of the requirements of the particular back-end application. The actuation subsystem, which is the only component that is specific to the back-end application, converts the interpretation result command into one or more “application commands” and communicates it (them) to the back-end application in the form required by the specific back-end application. In some embodiments the actuation subsystem also can take results from a back-end application in application-dependent form, and convert it to a common predefined internal format that is application-independent.
