Abstract: A lighting system, including a sensor operable to detect a person, a luminaire, and a tracking system. The luminaire including a first lamp operable to generate visible light when activated, and a second lamp operable to generate UVC light having a peak wavelength between 200 nm and 225 nm when activated, the second lamp communicatively coupled to the sensor and configured to be activated in response to the sensor detecting the person. The tracking system operable to track how long the second lamp has been activated and generate to-date usage information, the to-date usage information indicating a total amount of time the second lamp has been activated so far.
