Abstract: A repository of replicated chunk files is analyzed to identify chunk files that meet at least a portion of combination criteria. Selected chunk files are associated together under a data protection grouping container. Erasure coding is applied to the data protection grouping container including by utilizing the selected chunk files as different data stripes of the erasure coding and generating one or more parity stripes based on the different data stripes.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides user-interface methods and systems for submitting search requests to search engines and presenting search results therefrom customized using content preferences learned about a user, comprising sending query information to at least two search engines, including a query identifying desired content, and user information, including context information describing the environment in which the query information is being sent, and a user signature representing content preferences learned about the user; receiving at least one set of a search result and auxiliary information from the at least one search engine in response to sending the query information, including information describing attributes of the search result that led to the search result being chosen by the at least one search engine; ordering the at least one search result based at least in part on the auxiliary information; and presenting the ordered search results to the user.

Abstract: An implanted medical device is prepared for a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan by being programmed into an MRI mode when deemed appropriate by an external device implementing an MRI mode control application. An MRI technologist or other user may use the external device to screen the patient and implanted medical device for the MRI scan and enable the MRI mode at the implanted medical device when it is deemed appropriate in the MRI mode control application. Therapy parameters for the MRI mode may be determined on the basis of information about the device and patient, and those therapy parameters may be programmed into the implanted medical device upon enabling the MRI mode. The MRI technologist or other user may use the external device to disable the MRI mode and return to normal operation once the MRI scan is complete.
