  • Patent number: 11084590
Abstract: Tubular bodies for use in frames for seats of vehicles such as aircraft are described. A tube can include a sidewall that has a variable thickness along the length of the tube. The variable thickness of the sidewalls can result in the tube having a variable inner diameter along the length of the tube. The tube may also include a variable outer diameter.

  • Publication number: 20210147082
Abstract: An overhead stowage bin assembly having a bin structure with a lower panel and an open side that defines a front of the stowage bin assembly. The lower panel has a leading edge that is arranged at the front of the stowage bin assembly. A cover is formed by base plates and a central plate and is secured to the lower panel to form a passage. The central plate has protruding ribs that are aligned to increase the stiffness of the cover and the rigidity of the lower panel. A threshold has walls that are connected to each other and define a channel. The leading edge of the lower panel is received within the channel such that the threshold walls mate with opposite surfaces of the lower panel so as to grip the leading edge of the panel and further enhance the stiffness of the lower panel.

  • Patent number: 10392114
Abstract: Components and systems of an aircraft seating assembly are disclosed. The aircraft seating assembly can include a seat pan, a connection frame, and one or more mounts for removably coupling the seat pan to the connection frame. The aircraft seating assembly can include a back support having a removably coupled cushioning member. The aircraft seating assembly can include a tilt system which can allow the back support to articulate relative to the connection frame. The aircraft seating assembly can include a retention system coupled to the back support, the retention system can retain an object in place when in a closed configuration.

  • Patent number: 10144515
Abstract: Components and systems of an aircraft seating assembly are disclosed. The aircraft seating assembly can include an adjustable headrest that allows the headrest to be translated and/or rotated relative to a seat, a storage sleeve, and/or a spreader. The aircraft seating assembly can include an energy absorption system. The energy absorption system can include bracket which can control pivoting of a seat back relative to the bracket when subject to forces exceeding a threshold force. The energy absorption system can include a movable wall coupled to the seat.
