  • Publication number: 20240104613
Abstract: Generation of pricing and promotions for personalized sale of an item includes receiving ordering data associated with an item from a user using an electronic shopping platform accessed via a user device. A failure of the user to complete a purchase order is determined using shopping cart activities of an ordering system. Based on a search pattern of the user received from the ordering system, a price of the item is identified as causing the determined failure of the user to complete the purchase order. Within a predefined time interval from the determined failure, a price range for the item is generated including a confidence score derived based on the search pattern of the user. Based on the confidence score of the generated price range exceeding a threshold, a final price recommendation for the item is generated and communicated to the user device.

  • Patent number: 8601589
Abstract: A simplified messaging system is provided. In various embodiments, the simplified messaging system receives a selection of an image representing an identification for a user that the user previously provided, receives a selection of multiple images representing a password for the user that the user previously selected, and logs the user into an electronic messaging system based on the selected images. In various embodiments, the simplified messaging system comprises a mail transport server that receives and forwards electronic messages, a mail registration server comprising an images component that stores images associated with user identifications and user passwords, and a mail client that receives a selection of an image identifying a user and multiple images associated with a password of the user, and logs the user into an electronic messaging system when the images are selected.

  • Patent number: 8046691
Abstract: A multimedia system specifies a multimedia experience stream by a narrative definition that defines a narrative presentation having sub-narratives. Each sub-narrative may incorporate multiple streams of different types of media with each stream defining a “path” through content of that media type. The multimedia system directs the presentation of the sub-narratives by interfacing with presentation components for each media type through a custom interface component for that media type that implements a common application interface. When a user pauses a presentation, the user can manually navigate around the content of a stream from the current location at the time of the pause to another location. When the user resumes the presentation, the multimedia system automatically transitions from the navigated-to location to the current location at the time of the pause to resume the presentation from where it was paused.
