  • Publication number: 20190141561
Abstract: An implementation is developed to dynamically change the topology of a mesh network connectivity comprised of many mesh nodes and route IP packets across the network in a wireless network, wherein an IP tunnel and a control connection are established between a pair of mesh nodes using a mesh application (called, Mesh App). The Mesh App has several key functions such as collecting local wireless user equipment IP addresses from the local Core Network, and remote IP addresses and routing information from its neighbor Mesh Apps, enabling routing of data traffic hop by hop across the network. Furthermore, it changes the UEs in the ‘reject list’ forcing the disconnection of certain UEs and backhaul modems so as to alter the topology or the network, and distributing the topology change information to its neighbors.

  • Patent number: 10172139
Abstract: IP packets are routed across mesh and relay nodes in a wireless network via an IP tunnel that is established between a pair of mesh nodes terminating on the disclosed system, also referred to as Mesh App. The Mesh App has several key functions beyond terminating IP tunnels, such as: (1) collecting local wireless user equipment IP addresses from the local Core Network, (2) remote IP addresses and routing information from its neighbor Mesh Apps, and (3) routing user's data packets according to its routing table across the IP tunnel. This tunnel is simultaneously used as a control channel to allocate frequency sub-bands to backhaul and radio access user equipment across neighbor mesh nodes to minimize self-backhaul interference.

  • Publication number: 20130335351
Abstract: A haptic display with a touch screen surface enabled to be tactically detectable by the addition of a thin-film piezo stimulator thereto is disclosed. A modeling for minimized power consumption and a maximized tactile detection on the display is also disclosed. The haptic screen, during operation of a touch screen, enables a user to have a haptic interaction with the screen through vibrations generated on the touch surface. A piezo placement model enables to achieve vibrations of specific values at each spot on the screen where the user touches, through the use of a minimum number of piezo components of the screen so as to provide an optimum tactile detection and minimum power consumption. Pre-defined values of amplitude and frequency are applied to ensure that the vibration is detected in accordance with the placement model and pre-defined values of the placement model are used depending on the position of touch.

  • Patent number: 7146410
Abstract: Systems and methods for ensuring that control protocols can be used between Media Gateways 130, 140 and Media Gateway Controllers 110 that reside on separate IP networks 120, 150. Network Address Translation (NAT) is strategically implemented to inspect and translate control protocol messages exchanged between nodes on separate IP networks. One method is to add NAT intelligence to a firewall/router 160 giving it the ability to inspect and translate the IP addresses within control protocol messages. Another method is to have a firewall/router 160 forward control protocol messages to a separate NAT server 170 to inspect and translate the IP addresses within control protocol messages. The former implementation places a significant amount of real-time work on the firewall/router which can affect its performance in its core duties. The latter implementation does not affect performance but requires deploying additional hardware.
