  • Patent number: 10546339
Abstract: A network computing system implements a health service comprising a health trivia game and connects, over one or more wireless networks, with the computing devices of users of the health service. The network computing system provides sequences of topical health questions and receives corresponding sequences of responses from the users. Based on a correctness of each response, the network computing system determines a predicted health outcome of a respective user of the health service, and generates a health report that is accessible via a user interface of the health trivia game.

  • Patent number: 10542086
Abstract: The example embodiments are directed to a system and method for dynamically controlling a flow of a stream processing application. The method may include executing the application which reads data from a data source and writes data to a target destination, and which includes a pipeline of operators which perform different operations on the data, determining a runtime performance of the pipeline of operators included in the stream processing application, and dynamically synchronizing the runtime performance of each of the operators in the pipeline of operators of the stream processing application by changing a processing speed of at least one operator. By changing the speed of the at least one operator a performance of all operators can be synchronized to accommodate dynamic characteristics of the processing environment such as target database conditions, operator processing performance, and the like, which can change during runtime.

  • Publication number: 20190180852
Abstract: A computing system can implement a health verification and prediction service by generating an interactive user interface through which users can provide responses to health assertions in one or more trivia sessions. Each of the health assertions can include a correlation value to actual health outcomes based on responses received from individuals a control group and the known health outcomes of those individuals. Based on the responses from the user, the computing system can generate a health profile for the user.

  • Publication number: 20170185594
Abstract: For creating a hierarchical representation, generating functionality for a given asset, and effectuating the functionality, one or more processors to create a hierarchical representation in a data repository of a plurality of assets communicating on at least one network and employed to perform manufacturing within an industrial environment. The one or more processors analyze an electronic document that corresponds to the given asset and generate a functionality of the given asset from the electronic document. The one or more processors determine whether the hierarchical representation is organized according respective functionalities of the plurality of assets or respective physical locations of the plurality of assets in the industrial environment. The one or more processors effectuate the functionality of the given asset in response to a selection of the given asset and the functionality of the given asset.

Abstract: Examples are provided herein for providing a service in connection with determining a health of a user. A collection of questions are stored for the user, with each question being based on a documented assertion pertaining to human health. Each question in the collection of questions is associated with a correlative health parameter that is based at least in part on (i) persons in a control population that have independent knowledge of an assertion that is a basis of that question, and (ii) a value of a predetermined health parameter for each person in the control population, the value of the predetermined health parameter for each person being indicative of that person's health. Based on data generated by one or more activity monitoring devices, questions from the collection are selected for display to the user.
