In particular, the present principles relate to providing (330) an electronic program listing (400; 500) or the like which is capable of indicating to viewers programs with different resolutions of content by using different resolutions, or degrees of sharpness or blurriness of graphical representations (401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 406, 407, 408, 409; 510, 520, 530, 540) corresponding to the plurality of programs on the electronic program listing (400; 500). This way, a viewer is able to recognize easily and quickly which of the programs are, e.g., ultra high definition (UHD), high definition (HD), or standard definition (SD), just by glancing at the electronic program listing (400; 500).

In particular, the present principles relate to providing an electronic program listing (295) or the like which is capable of indicating to viewers programs with high dynamic range (HDR) content differently than programs with non-high dynamic range content. In one exemplary embodiment, one or more program representations of an electronic program listing (295) representing one or more programs available in HDR format are displayed with higher brightness or luminance level than if the programs are available in non-HDR format. This way, a viewer is able to recognize easily and quickly which programs are HDR capable and which are not, just by glancing at the electronic program listing (295).

Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for generating content representations is provided. Respective power consumption information for content is determined. Representations for the content at relative luminance levels based on the respective power consumption information are rendered for display. Additionally, recommendations for reducing power consumption of content to be presented on a playback device can be directed to a user.

Abstract: A computing device presents a user interface in which graphical representations of content may be positioned based on user input. Inclusionary and exclusionary portions of metadata associated with the content may be ranked based on the positions and/or positional relationships of the graphical representations in the user interface. The computing device generates content recommendations based on the rankings. Presented content associated with the content recommendations may be provided to a user in response to selection of a content recommendation. The content recommendations may be modified in response to changes to the user interface received from a user.
