Abstract: An electric machine includes a first circuit through which a first working fluid can flow and a second circuit through which a second working fluid can flow. The first circuit and the second circuit are formed hermetically. In order to cool the electric machine particularly well, the first circuit and the second circuit have a common heat exchanger surface which is constructed in such a way that thermal energy from the first working fluid of the first circuit can be transmitted to the second working fluid of the second circuit or vice versa from the second working fluid to the first working fluid by way of the heat exchanger surface. A method for cooling an electric machine and a motor vehicle having an electric machine are also provided.

Abstract: An electric machine includes a stator, a rotatably mounted rotor interacting with the stator and including a shaft which has an axial borehole. A flow guiding element extends into the axial borehole such as to enable a coolant to flow out of the flow guiding element and into the axial borehole or into the flow guiding element and out of the axial borehole. A slide ring seal seals the shaft with the axial borehole with respect to an element that is rotationally stationary relative to the shaft. When the electric machine is in operation, a value for moisture in a cavity of the electric machine can be determined in a cavity of the electric machine.

Abstract: A cooling system for an electrical machine is produced in the form of an extruded profile and has a plurality of webs which run in the direction of the extrudate of the extruded profile. Each web separates two adjacent cooling channels of the cooling jacket from one another. The cooling channels of the cooling jacket form a meandering cooling system. Passages of the cooling system which run perpendicular to the webs are formed by in each case one cutout in each of the webs at one of the end faces of the cooling jacket or by cutouts in end plates which are attached to the end faces of the cooling jacket.
