Abstract: A disposable nursing pad comprising an absorbent assembly having an inner surface and an outer surface with an absorbent material therebetween. The inner and outer surfaces are connected about a perimeter of the absorbent assembly which may have a non-circular shape. The absorbent assembly has a cupped configuration such that the inner surface is concave and the outer surface is convex. The absorbent pulp material may be formed with a reduced material thickness in at least one slimmer area within the absorbent assembly perimeter that is less than a total area within the absorbent assembly perimeter such that at least two areas having pulp material of differing thickness are defined.

Abstract: The invention discloses an integrated absorbent chassis for an absorbent article. The back sheet of the disclosed absorbent article is made from a single sheet of composite material that has elastomeric characteristics in predetermined regions. For example, the ear portions of the article are extendable for a better fit of the article. Other zones such as leg areas may also be elasticized if required.

Abstract: An absorbent article comprising a single side panel permanently attached to one of the front waist region and the back waist region is provided. The side panel is non-contoured and elastic, and can be refastened or adjusted to the body to maintain the article in a pant configuration.

Abstract: Absorbent articles suitable for use as diapers or other hygiene products are provided. The absorbent articles include a pair of refastenable tabs that have a non-elastic portion and a fastener portion. The non-elastic portion has a top edge and a bottom edge that are asymmetrical to each other with respect to a horizontal axis. Products according to the invention may provide any of several benefits, including a high performance in terms of at least one of fit, comfort, producibility, and ease of use.
