  • Publication number: 20210378392
Abstract: Disclosed is a removable handle cover device for wrapping around a bar to prevent a user's hands to be in direct contact with the bar. The handle cover comprises at least one piece of material wrappable around a handle bar, one or more spring steel elements, and a releasing mechanism for quickly removing the handle cover from the bar. The device is operative to be quickly installed and removed from the handle bar by the user with a single action, while physically isolating the user's hands from the bar. The handle cover is able to prevent the user from being exposed to contaminants on or to contaminate the surface of the bar by increasing the efficacy in the implementation and performance of proven healthy practices, reducing the risk of contamination with and spreading of contagious diseases.

  • Patent number: 9166295
Abstract: A bowtie antenna is presented. The antenna includes a substrate with a metal layer. The bowtie-shaped dipole antenna is formed in the metal layer with two triangle elements and a gap between the two triangle elements. The bowtie-shaped antenna is shaped to receive signals in a lower portion of the UHF band. A pair of transmission lines is formed in the metal extending from the gap. At least one pair of tuning stubs is formed in the metal. The pair of tuning stubs extends from the transmission lines and is tuned to a frequency band that is different than the lower portion of the UHF band.

  • Patent number: 8054968
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for deciphering recorded digital audio signals and using a smart card to pay for deciphering. Encrypted digital audio signals are recorded onto a recording medium, such as a compact disc or the like. When the user desires to listen to the recording, the encrypted recording is inserted into a player/recorder and a prepaid smart card is inserted into a smart card reader connected to the player/recorder. The smart card reader deducts a predetermined value from the card before allowing the player/recorder to decipher the encrypted recording, and record the deciphered audio onto a recording medium for playback.

  • Patent number: 7880670
Abstract: A signal measurement system tests an RF component in an RF test facility, such as an RF anechoic chamber. The system includes a repeater which is connected to an exterior antenna disposed outside the chamber and a transmitting antenna disposed inside the chamber. The repeater receives the RF broadcast signal from the exterior antenna and rebroadcasts it as an RF testing signal inside the chamber. The subject antenna receives the RF testing signal, which is then analyzed with a computer. The repeater may also modify the RF testing signal to produce a wide variety of test situations that mimic those available in a traditional field-test.
