  • Publication number: 20130295111
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and compositions for treating disorders associated with hyperactive immune responses. The invention also provides methods for lithibiting activation of CD4+ T cells and/or suppressing proliferation other overactivated T cells (e.g., CD4CD8 T cells). These methods typically involve the administration to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a compound that lithibits or suppresses IL-7 signaling or IL- 15 signaling.

  • Patent number: 4960712
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods used to assay for particular complement component fragments. The invention can be used to determine the amount of a particular complement component fragment in a sample. The fragment can be fluid phase or bound to an immune complex. Generally, specific binding agents, such as antibodies, directed to the complement component fragments and immune complexes are used in the assay.

  • Patent number: 4636463
Abstract: Chemically synthesized polypeptides containing about 6 to about 40 amino acid residues having amino acid residue sequences that substantially correspond to the amino acid residue sequences of antigenic determinants of interleukin-2, when administered alone or as polymers or as conjugates bound to carriers, induce the production of antibodies of predetermined specificities. The polypeptides and the antibodies produced thereto can be used in diagnostic systems to measure the presence and amount of interleukin-2 and interleukin-2 cell surface receptors or binding sites in an assayed sample.

  • Patent number: 4342566
Abstract: A solid phase assay which specifically detects C-fixing ICs by reacting ICs or aggregated gammaglobulin in normal serum with matrix-bound F(ab')2 anti-C3 and measuring the amount of Ig by radioimmunoassay or enzyme-linking techniques, and means for carrying out the assay are disclosed.
