  • Patent number: 11560943
Abstract: A transmission wheel assembled of at least two segments (1) on a shaft (12), the inner arc surface (3) of which and the shaft (12) have essentially the same radius (R), and which segments' (1) outer surfaces (9) have profiled surfaces that transmit the power of the transmission wheel. Between the segments' (1) welded-together end faces (4) there are gaps on those sections of the end faces (4) that are not welded, which creates a press fit between the shaft (12) and the inner arc surface (3) of the transmission wheel. The weld connecting the transmission wheel segments' (1) end faces (4) may be incomplete, meaning that it does not reach the shaft (12).

  • Patent number: 9096382
Abstract: A cover and frame assembly for a discharge end of a belt conveyor, the assembly including: a stationary frame supporting the discharge end and including sides extending beyond the discharge end; a cover having a top, opposite side walls extending down from the top and an end face extending between the side walls and down from the top; a rim along each of the side walls, wherein each the rim seats on an upper edge of one of the sides of the stationary frame, while the cover is closed over the discharge end, and a roller on each upper edge of the sides of the stationary frame, wherein each roller extends above the upper edge and seats in a hole or pit in the rim seated on the upper edge while the cover is closed, wherein the rim of each side wall slides over the corresponding roller as the cover is opened.

  • Patent number: 6189583
Abstract: An apparatus for removing bark from a wood and bark containing log flow. The apparatus includes a number of bark separation units, each of the bark separation units comprising an aggregate of a toothed disc mounted on a first disc shaft and a smooth-surface disc mounted on a second disc shaft. The disc shafts are set crosswise relative to a feeding direction A applied to the log flow by the toothed disc upon the rotation thereof and at a distance from each other. The toothed disc and the substantially smooth-surface disc of a bark separation unit are set in a staggered fashion relative to each other in the axial direction of the disc shafts.

  • Patent number: 5236024
Abstract: A counter blade is disclosed for use in a chipping machine which comprises a chipper disc rotatably mounted in the chipper frame by means of a shaft supporting the disc. The counter blade is attached to the chipper frame essentially at the intersection of a blade mounted in the chipper disc and the log to be chipped, in such manner that, on the side opposite to the chipping blade, the counter blade rests against the log to be chipped. The counter blade consists of a first and a second blade part placed at an obtuse angle relative to each other. According to the present invention, the counter blade consists of two essentially elongated elements having an arris forming the cutting edge of the counter blade at least on one of its longitudinal sides. The end faces of the counter blade elements are so formed as to permit connection to an adjacent counter blade element so that two counter blades form a continuous cutting edge of the counter blade.

  • Patent number: 5094280
Abstract: A disk chipper for the production of wood chips, consisting of a rotatable chipping disk supported on an axle driven by at least one drive machine. The disk chipper of the invention is so implemented that at least three motors are drivably coupled to the axle of the chipping disk by means of a gear assembly, preferably a spur gear assembly.
