  • Publication number: 20180244493
Abstract: Passenger allocation in elevator systems is a critical task if efficient use of elevator system is desired. It is advantageous to optimize the overall capacity of an elevator system by using optimizing systems. One key issue in optimization is to guide passengers to act according to optimization result. This can be provided by indicating a color to each passenger so that they can choose an elevator indicating the same color.

  • Publication number: 20160016755
Abstract: The invention refers to a group control of an elevator group comprising several elevators, which group control comprises a destination control system with at least one destination call panel for issuing a first destination call by inputting a first destination floor whereupon the destination control system allocates said first destination call to a first elevator of said elevator group. The destination call panel has a link actuator, which, upon activation, initiates the destination control system to receive at least a second destination call with a second destination floor and/or departure floor, which second destination call is also allocated to said first elevator by the destination control system. By this measure passengers with different departure and/or destination floors can travel with the same elevator.

  • Patent number: 7222698
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system for testing the condition of the brakes of an elevator. In the method, a test weight is set to apply to the drive machine of the elevator, by means of which weight a first torque required for driving the elevator car in the upward direction is measured. At least one of the brakes of the elevator is closed. Next, the empty elevator car is driven in the upward direction with the force of the aforesaid first torque and a check is carried out to detect movement of the elevator car. If a movement of the elevator car is detected, then the aforesaid at least one brake of the elevator is regarded as defective. The method of the present invention makes it possible to check the operativeness of the brakes of the elevator without separate maintenance visits.
