Abstract: An apparatus for applying glue onto a moving, plane object comprises inlet pipes of the glues a dispenser extending across the path of travel of the object of the dispensing, dispensing nozzles of the glue and means for controllably opening and interrupting the glue flow to the nozzles. The means for interrupting the flow comprise a cylindrical case formed into the frame of the dispenser, extending along the total length thereof, inlet channels for the glue leading to the case, nozzle channels leading out from the case and a pipe element mounted into the case with a sliding fit, said pipe element being equipped with openings for forming a flow connection between the inlet channels of the glue and the nozzle channels in one position of the pipe element with respect to the frame and for closing said flow connection in the second position of the pipe element with respect to the frame.

Abstract: Apparatus for applying glue to veneer sheets comprises elements (6, 7, 8) for transporting veneer sheets (3), supported substantially in a horizontal position, to the gluing, a glue applying device (2) for administering glue onto the veneer traveling under it, as well as elements (9, 10, 11) for directing the glued veneers (4), supported substantially in a horizontal position, to a further processing, said conveying elements being located with respect to each other so as to leave in the direction of transport a transfer gap aligned with the glue administering device (2). The device further includes means for forcing the veneer to be glued and the glued veneer at its center portion in the direction of transport to a different level than the edge portions thereof in the direction of transport.

Abstract: A nozzle unit for the spreading of foamed glue onto a flat surface in the production of wood-based sheets, wherein the nozzle unit has a feeder canal (1) for directing glue into the nozzle unit, a row of nozzles (5) for directing glue from the nozzle unit onto a flat surface and also a distribution canal network between the feeder canal and the nozzles for distributing glue evenly to the nozzles. According to the invention, the area of the distribution canal network has a compensation canal (9) closed to/from external, that forms a free flow channel between the branches of the distribution canal network leading to the nozzles (5).
