  • Publication number: 20050153703
Abstract: A method, a transceiver, a telecommunications system, and a computer program are provided. According to the invention, a sampled receive signal is generated from a receive signal. An interference level threshold is derived on the basis of an iterative statistical analysis of the sampled receive signal, and an interfered portion of a signal space is identified on the basis of a comparison of the sampled receive signal and the interference level threshold. In an embodiment, the transmit resources are reduced from the interfered portion of the signal space.

  • Patent number: 6606348
Abstract: A receiver comprises input means for receiving a signal (r(t)) of a first domain. Processor means are provided for applying a transform function to the received signal to a second domain. A first extractor arrangement extracts first type of information from the signal in the second domain. A plurality of processor means, each of which is arranged to receive a plurality of information portions, apply said transform function thereto and provide a transformed output. A second extractor arrangement extracts a second, different type of information from the output of each said plurality of processor means. Compensation Circuitry compensates the received signal using one of the second type of information extracted.
